**Q: Will this fit a 5 year old?  The picture shows a child, but many of the comments say that it fits an adult.**
A: it did fit my granddaughter; but, she was 10 at the time. It will probably be 'too big' for a smaller child.

My daughter bought one for a daddy-daughter neon dance. It lit up and was a huge hit. She also wore it for hat day at school several times. We had it for two years, but it broke when some kids grabbed it off her head and broke the cords. We bought a 2nd hat this fall for another neon dance. Well worth the money.
