Got 2 scooters.1 stays Locked unless handlebar is unlocked ther other one pulls up easily while locked. Is it broken?

Accepted Answer

Step 1: Open handlebar clamp and raise to desired height
Step 2: With clamp *still open,* tighten clamp using No. 5 Allen Key (came in packet with instructions, thickest of keys)
Step 3: Finish by closing clamp-- if things are tight-enough, you'll feel the added compression as you close the clamp

can this go on rough terrain?

Depends on what you mean by "rough terrain".  Having the two wheels on the front and them being spaced out does help this scooter stay more stable on bumpy or uneven surfaces. Medium to hard dirt paths can work but you can't drive this thing in deep sand.  Short grass, bumpy grounds like you might see in a park might be ok for a little ride but really this does much better on a paved surface.  Somewhat bumpy sidewalks or slightly rough paved surfaces shouldn't be a problem -- although if your child has to deal with that for a long time it might not be enjoyable.

Question 3

What material are the handlebars made of? i saw a prop 65 for bpa on the target website for this scooter and want to know which parts contain it.

Accepted Answer

The handlebars are rubber and do not contain BPA.

After confirming with the manufacturer, it is noted that plastic generally contains BPA (aka the plastic deck, or standing platform).  That said, our scooters are tested and have passed the BPA tests, as the plastic components of the scooter all contain less than 0.01, which is well below Europe standards of less than 0.1.  Due to Prop 65 in California, we are now required to put the notice on any product that contains any level of BPA, regardless if it passes standards or not.  Hopefully this insight helps-- namely, we can assure you that our scooters are very safe!

Why cant we buy the foldable Maxi Deluxe with the light-up wheels??? You guys (Micro) should make it available or sell the light wheels separately
