I was like some of the others who had trouble at first and thought I could just figure out how to use these. I had trouble opening them. I had trouble inserting my lights and closing the clips. I had trouble making connections and getting all my light to work. Then I went back and looked at the pictures. The clips are easy to open once you see how to open them. The connectors should slide UNDER the little clips and NOT ON TOP of them. I don't know why, but making sure to align the polarity (i.e. plus sign (+) on the clips to plus sign (+) on the light strips) made a difference and my lights ALL worked. They didn't work for me at first, but now I understand.

LED Strip connectors
The clips are a bit of a challenge to get open however they're secure in holding the cable so I imagine it's a good thing to be tough to open. At least the cable isn't going to pull out easily.

Easy to use!!
Our 8 year old received LED strip lights for his room as a Christmas gift. I ordered a 2nd pack of lights but didn’t know how to connect them. I ordered these and they worked perfectly. It took me a couple of tries to figure out how to slide the LED strip under the connectors, but once I figured it out it was so easy.

Worked ok but my LEDs didn’t distribute power evenly.
I got these so I could extend and readjust/trim my lights and still use them, but the LEDs towards the end of the strip are discolored and dull because power isn’t being distributed evenly.

Works great
As a few others have said, you might need to bend up the prongs with a small screwdriver to fit the strips in, and then push them back down to get a good connection

Impossible
I’ve attempted to extend the led strips off of previously placed strips. Only the blue lights work and only that particular Shade, any other blue tint won’t work (see photo for reference). Overall, these are impossible to put into the prongs and by manually opening them up a bit more to fit in the strip, you’ll most likely damage the connector in the process.

I use this to connect 2 rolls of led lights into one. Its been a month now and haven’t encountered a issue. All colors works looks great. Its hard to find a 8mm connector with 4-pins so I’m glad I found this!
