These are so cute and comfortable!! I am a runner, so I did buy these for running. I owned a few pairs of these way back when they first came out but switched to more colorful shorts and donated them to my school's cross-country team because they are such awesome shorts. I have just gone up a size from a small to a medium, and I don't like the larger size from the company I usually buy from, but I remembered liking my Flipbelt shorts, so I bought these and a few other pairs from other brands. I wore them yesterday and went for a run. I use a wallet case phone which never fits in built-in pockets, but it fit in both the front open pockets and the back zippered pocket. Flipbelt products have different types of pockets, but you can read about those in the description.I get dressed to run as soon as I get out of bed and have my coffee and relax. At first, I was concerned because they felt a little tight, but it didn't last. They were so comfortable, and I felt so good wearing them that I ended up changing out of the rest of my clothes after my run but putting shorts back on. I can't wait to get more pairs.One leg did ride up a little during my run, but it was never uncomfortable. I wouldn't have noticed at all except that I specifically check for that problem on all running shorts.I highly recommend these.

I never owned the flipbelt, just bought the shorts. I like the front pocket and the features. Only thing I was was better was the back, zip pocket--it is just a bit too short to accommodate your average phone (I have a google pixel 3, daughter has samsung galaxy 8, but they don't fit with their cases. I have a similar pair of shorts with a back zipper pocket and it fits my phone with a 7-inch zipper--the flipbelt's zipper pocket is a mere 5 inches. I prefer for my phone to be on my hip or lumbar when I run, so it's taken some getting used to it being in the front pocket, but it does easily fits there and doesn't move around at all--phone is unnoticable while I'm running. Only thing I would suggest to make shorts better is make that back zipper a bit longer and they'll be perfect! I am 5-5, 125 lbs and the medium shorts fit me well. Daughter is 4-10, 85 lbs and needed a small, which is a tiny bit too big for her waist, but accommodated her curvy hips. The xs fit her waist perfectly, but it was too snug across her hips.

The waistband of these running shorts is basically a FlipBelt, but this is even more comfortable because it is built into a great pair of shorts. I can fit my iPhone, keys, a credit card and nutrition for the run in the waistband, and I still have room to spare. There is no bounce, and the thick waistband is very flattering. The material of the shorts is durable and has stood up to plenty of runs and washes with no issue. Would love to see these shorts in even more colors, because I will be buying a few more pairs!

I ordered an XS at first, I typically wear size 0 jeans. While the fit around the waist was perfect, they are a tad short. I then ordered a Small and I like the length a lot better. The fit around the waist between an XS and Small is minor. They both fit comfortable and hold my phone, gels, and whatever else I need to put in the belt portion great. My items don't bounce and the shorts don't really ride up as I run. I've worn a running belt over shorts and it constantly rides up my mid-section (I can't stand it). These shorts are great and I will definitely buy more!

I really wanted to like these because I love my FlipBelt but the inseam must be 2.5 or 3 inches. Just too short.

Very cute, light weight, and holds my phone and snacks securely on runs. Recent 7.5 mike trail run was a huge success. No bouncing phone and shorts stayed in place without any issue.Two year update: these are worn almost daily for runs and HIIT workouts and washed after each year. Two years later and they are still in amazing shape with no fading or stretched out elastic.

These shorts are great. Comfortable and very easy to carry my iPhone and keys in. I plan to order another pair soon. On fit -- I originally ordered a small (I am 5'-3" and 125 lbs), small was too tight and too short for me (but was borderline) , medium is good.

Bought a second pair and sized up from Med to Large. Better fit for me
