how are sizes measured?

Look in second pic in images, you measure your ankle and calf circumference based on those measurements it will tell u what size to order. These are great! My mom loves them, great quality, support and more then half off then at medical supply stores.

Do you wear regular socks with these or directly into the shoe?

Directly into the shoe. If your shoe is too wide then use the sock.....your shoe should fit properly! I usually wear laced shoes so I can tighten my shoe easily when wearing these. Carol K.

where is the size chart? How do i figure out whether to order a large or medium?

You measure the calf of you leg if it Is for knee highs: the size of pantyhose will be same as regular ones you wear(but harder to get on, so might want to go one size bigger): and as for thigh highs, I'm not sure but would imagine like pantyhose. The thing you have to remember with support hose is the more support you order(the tighter it gets) the bigger the size might be needed depending on how you are proportioned body-wise and how comfortable they are on you.Usually if you are just wanting comfortable, but good support the 15-20 is good.

Most compression or control hose make my toes hurt (too tight or short). So these do that?

these compression hose do not brother my toes at all, in fact my feed and legs feel better wearingthem.

They are comfortable and easy to wear

These are hands down the best and most comfortable compression socks I have ever had. You can wear them all day and they will still be as comfortable as when you put them on. I am ordering more. I love them.They have solved the problems of swell in my feet and lower legs and feet, as well as my varicose veins. The compression is just right and they are easy to put on as regular knees high hose. They also fit well.

Best Compression Socks/Hose

Compression hose/socks have been a part of my daily routine for many years. Of all the different brands and styles I purchased, these are the best. Socks are too thick and mostly do not stretch enough to fit comfortably on my leg that is swollen. Also, most are not offered in larger sizes. I use size extra large because I have a size 12 foot. These hose are 15-20 and fit very comfortably without cutting off the blood flow. They are thick enough to provide the compression I need. And, they are not too thick to wear in warmer/hot weather. I purchased two pairs to try them and then purchased four additional pairs. I highly recommend them.

Too long leg, too long foot... causing pain.

Too long leg, too long feet, what it mean depending on the size of your feet is how much will be in excess on the toes to bother you. The leg compression is good enough to keep working with out pain long day, but if is too long depending on your leg length the "soft top" is rolling up or no there are way to put the excess, so it is where the sock is causing pain on your leg, super painful. I bought the XXL because my leg was swelling too much, is was big and I was scared no being able to wear the sock if I bought other smaller size, after some days I started using the XL size, same thing. After that I got the L size the compression is good and fit better on my leg, but is still too long, so the sock at tge top end is still double and is causing pain. Too much different pain. I decided to return all of them.
