Very pleased with this camera. I wanted this one specifically because it wasn't wired into the reversing light. Sometimes you have to do a couple of shunts to get into a tight space and it doesn't help if the camera goes off when you go forward. With this one, you press the power on button at the lighter socket and the camera stays on until you switch it off, so you can see continuously until you are parked. Also handy if you just want to check what's going on behind you at any time - without needing reverse gear.The picture is nice and bright even in low light and good enough quality for the job with a decent width of view.It was easy to fit, the hardest job was removing van fittings to hide the cable.The camera works perfectly, The following "difficulties" are with the van.There was only just enough cable to reach the dash from the rear number plate on my Vivaro van so anything bigger would need an extension. I wanted the monitor stuck on the dashboard but the shelf surface isn't smooth so the sucker won't work, had to fix it with tape instead. Due to the rear door setup on my van I had to fix the camera above the number plate which is off centre and angle it inwards slightly so while the view is fine it won't be as perfect as a centre fixing. Again, no fault of the product.I would certainly recommend this camera, especially at the price.

Fitted to Peugeot partner van .I’m pleased with the camera and it is easy to use powered by the cigarette socket .It’s not a really clear picture but adequate for reversing .And for the price it’s fine if your looking for a decent cheap camera without having to wire into the lighting.We wired it inside wall panel and through rear door .Drilled hole and attached camera on number plate .I had to cut one wire to make the image match the mirrors .The instructions explain this .All on all I would recommend this if your on a budget .So far so good .

Bought this after the slightly more expensive Autovox one I bought wouldn't work.Easy to fit and less hassle than the Autovox one as it's not wired to the reversing lights, and front to back wire just tucks under any sill trims in the car...Wire from camera a little short so that connection will be under car and open to road dirt although I wrapped it in insulating tape.Needed a double connector for the power connector as I already have a dash cam installed, so wirings a bit untidy, but I can live with it and would be able to easily transfer it to another vehicle if needed.Picture not perfect, but clear enough for you to see what's going on behind you....(not used it in the dark yet so can't comment).The power socket/switch feels a bit cheap and plasticky, as does the screen surround, but overall happy at the price paid.

Works great, tried in a few positions but works best when put on rear numberplate.

Don’t waste your money, cheap and did not work in our pick up. We just needed something easy for reversing to hitch on to livestock trailers. This did not work since to get go

I purchased this reversing camera based on reviews, keen price compared with other brands, and that it is not necessary to wire into the reverse lights which would be a complicated cable run on my car. The unit took about 2 hours to fit due to the design of my car and not the fault of the unit. I have a Kia Sportage and a lot of dismantling was needed to run the cable from the number plate are up through the tail gate and into the car itself. I have the camera glued behind the number plate using its sticky pad and there is a few cm of wire visible before it disappears into the tailgate. There was literally only just enough cable supplied to allow me to position the monitor on the driver side dashboard, which is disappointing as the Sportage is not a particularly big SUV. The camera itself is unable to point down enough to see the road directly behind the car and so it is useless for close parking or as an aid to using the tow hitch. The monitor is very poor quality, but interestingly enough appears to be the same as that used on more expensive systems by more well knows brands beginning with A and B! The switch on the cigarette lighter is very poor quality and feels flimsy - I would be surprised if it still works in a few weeks! Overall the system works, but the camera has limited ability to angle based on the car it is fitted to, the monitor is plastic and low quality (certainly not HD as advertised), and the cable length supplied is far too short. It’s cheap already but honestly is only worth half the price paid.

Spotted this brilliant reversing camera kit after initially looking at solar powered options for my Kia Sedona MK2. Was won over by the simplicity to easily connect the monitor and camera without the need to link any wiring into my vehicle reverse lights. The simple 12v plug in connection with a handy on/ off switch gives you the ability to have the camera showing a permanent image when driving or just when your reversing. The marker lines can be added as an overlay to help you with reversing and are effectively a traffic light based colour system, with red obviously being the "danger/ very close zone!". Unfortunately the instructions I received with my kit indicated snipping the green wire if I wanted the overlay display, but this only gave me a mirrored image, so I had to restrip the wire and reconnect to ensure the right image was displayed for my purposes. This therefore meant the white wire was actually the one to snip, which is different to what the instructions say, so beware guys. Easily resolved though and after about 1.5 hours, I'd managed to run and conceal the wires around my vehicle and placed the monitor on top of my dash board. Really pleased with the results and I'd highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an easy to fit DIY reverse camera without having to pay big bucks for someone else to do it. Have just ordered up some automotive cable clips with 3M adhesive on the back to tidy up the cabling that I couldn't hide. 👷👍

This backup camera is great. I've had and tried several both wired and wireless that always failed or the lenses would fog up and never return back to clear. This one is very easy to install and is clear as day. As long as you have bright reverse lights it does great at night too. The first one I ordered the camera after about 6 months would randomly black out. A quick email to the seller and I had another in the mail. Would reccommend this to anyone. I really like the fact that I don't have to wire it in to the reverse lights just push a button and turn it on and off as needed.

War auf der Suche nach einer permanenten Rückfahrkamera und wurde hier nicht enttäuscht. Einbau ins Fahrzeug war durch die ausreichende langen Kabel problemlos. Bildqualität ist für den Preis extrem gut. Erwarten wir jetzt keine Wunder wie Farbtreue, Gesamtausleuchtung etc. Tagsüber erkennt man alles, verzögerungsfrei mit einem klaren Bild. Bei schlechteren. Bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen oder völliger Dunkelheit ist das Bild noch ausreichend. Bei Dunkelheit sind deutliche Artefakte zu sehen aber sobald der Rückwärtsgang eingelegt wird und somit durch die Rückfahrbeleuchtung wieder genügend Licht kommt ist die Bildqualität gut.Das Display selber hat eine ausreichende Auflösung und springt innerhalb einer Sekunde an nach dem Einschalten. Für mich schnell genug.Zusätzlich können die Abstandsmarker aktiviert werden. Da diese Funktion für mich uninteressant ist kann ich dazu nichts sagen.Alles in allem ein tolles Produkt für den Preis.
