These jars have come in handy for sure. I used them to put my powdered herbs and fruit powders in. Not all of my herbal supplements I get are already encapsulated. It is cheaper to out them in capsules on your own a lot. Having these jars to access the powder easily, while keeping it fresher in a clear glass container, is perfect. I like how they are able to fit in my drawer easily and I am able to affix my labels to their black lids.

Great for giveaways

I like the style and sturdiness of this 4 oz jar and lid. The price is the best I can find based on my shopping needs. In my case, I buy a case as I need them instead of buying hundreds of jars once. In all, I have purchased 20 of these over a period of 9 months to jar fruit preserves this summer. I found 3 defective, mis-shaped jars, early on when the interior case packaging was black foam. I found many jars across most boxes to have oil drips. The oil washed off easily with soap and water. I found the black foam to be sturdier than the new white foam. I am not a fan of the outer box for the case of 40 jars. The outer box is not sturdy enough to ship alone so Amazon has to ship this case inside another box. So two card board boxes for each case of jars. Plus the 3 pieces of foam to dispose of. Once filling jars with preserves, I placed the jars back into the case and foam, then stacked these cases for later sale this fall. The stacked cases are not stable as a result of the weight compressing the foam, which then creases the outer box, (low quality as mentioned earlier) and then the stack leans. As a result, I bought plastic trays from the dollar tree to stack and store my preserves until holiday market. I also had to shrink wrap all of this to protect the jars from gathering dust. If the outer case was better, or a more firm foam was used, I think these issues could be mitigated. Last point to note, one of the jar lids was damaged during manufacturing, but there are no matching lids for sale without buying the jar. What if I wanted to start a recycling program and collect used jars from my customers. I would not be able to buy replacement lids for this jar. In the end, I will continue to buy this product as it meets my needs perfectly and the price is right.

I had a goal of capturing this essence, so I delved into the world of homemade ketchup, and my trusty companions on this culinary adventure were these glass jars. I picked 4oz because my ketchup is gold, and there is only so much gold to go around (I am really only gifting ketchup so the smaller jars are perfect) Each step of my ketchup making process is a dance of ingredients, and the glass jars patiently waited to play their part. Once my velvety homemade ketchup reached its peak, it was time for the grand finale – the jarring ceremony. The glass jars, lined up like soldiers, were filled with the crimson elixir. The pop of the lids echoed the satisfaction of a successful harvest, capturing the essence of summer in every jar. Days turned into weeks, and my homemade ketchup aged gracefully within the glass confines. When the first jar was opened, the aroma that filled the air transported me back to sun-drenched afternoons spent in the garden. The taste was pure, untainted by preservatives – a testament to the magic that happens when nature's bounty meets quality craftsmanship. 10/10

Good quality and will also work with standard plastic lids. I ordered the 10 plastic lids with the seal. The lids fit perfect but not with the seal. In my effort to make the seal fit so much the black from the original lid ended up on the plastic lid. So, like others, I would trust the plastic lids more than original lids for food items. Keep in mind I did apply a little force and that may be why the black came off. Regardless the metal lids will probably rust in time so having standard plastic lids are a good idea. These are such a perfect little size. I'm going to try freezing some pureed red peppers, some tahini, and pureed chick peas (garbonzo Goya). Have many tooth extractions I need mushy stuff. With the size of these jars, I'm sure they'll defrost rather quickly so I can make some homemade hummus with peppers from frozen without much of a wait for defrosting. Hope this helps

Jars are amazing

They are great looking jars, but half of them leaked my Honey out. Could not sell all that I could at the farmers market

Vienen muy bien empacados y protegidos, me llegaron completos y sin romperse. Yo los utilicé para muestras de alimentos untables y me funcionaron exactamente como esperaba, ya que al ser cristal se lavan y quedan muy bien.
