I received a similar katana made from 1095 steel that was twice as heavy as this sword, but still wobbled like a sheet of tin when struck with a palm. I was initially worried when I felt this sword was so much lighter, but when I struck it with my palm it vibrated beautifully.Come to find out this sword is somehow twice as durable at half the weight than a reasonable cheap sword.That other sword also did not come in a beautiful box with a cleaning kit.If you want an aesthetically pleasing yet functional sword for under $500 I don’t think you can find a better option.

So this comes in a bright box with a cleaning kit and is very well built. The sword is well built with visible hamon. It was sharp but not quite as sharp as expected. All in all a decent purchase. This is my second Musashi sword, my first was a limited edition they only made 100 of. The quality is great but the sharpness cost a star. Update--After multiple attempts to reach out to customer service at Musashi, i am removing another star. I truly wished the company I've purchased 4 swords total from now would have at lease try to help me fix the issue I had with this one. It is a shame. I was ready to purchase more. I purchased a T10 platinum sword that simply never arrived.

Very good katana
Very beautiful box and nice looking sword, sharpness from the box was low but I can sharp it by my self, I also polished it to more to mirror surface with 0.05 and 0.01 micron polishing paste. Seems it a real ray skin on handle, hamon line also seems real.Great for money that you pay, well made katana!

Good blade for the price point!
Great quality for this price point. I was very pleasantly surprised. This is a real deal sword, and not that 60 dollar kids stuff. I’d buy this brand again in an instant, and I very likely will.
