The 5* review says it all really. A good, solid product made by a reputable company at a good price, etc. Mine that turned up was an Aluminium BEAM construction level; i.e. actually made from an aluminium beam. I can only think that the 1* reviewer was unlucky and got a box construction product by mistake, in which case they should have sent it back. So why 4* not 5? Well, I am a little concerned about the philosophy of putting a measuring scale along the top only painted/printed on and which could easily wear off, especially if the device is used as a straight edge to draw along as well. This thing is supposed to be a level, not a ruler, so either engrave the scale on or leave it off altogether and have a nice, shiny, bare flat surface like on my old Rabone-Chesterman that it replaces.

Bought as gift for my husband, he seems very happy. Said it works well and is accurate.

I had to replace my old level and this was the nearest size to as I'm uses to dimensions. And it did the job perfect without hindrance and easy to handle and use. Now my shelf is up and looks the part.

It's a ok spirit level...to be honest I don't get it. The adjustable level works but then it doesn't...for example if I've got the level on a 45 degrees surface as well as 45 degree angle the bubble is in the top right corner...but if I turn the angle to say 30 degrees or 20 degrees and then move it back to 45 degrees the bubble moves into the middle and the spirit level itself hasn't moved. It's annoying but it works to an extent...but for £10 I decided to keep it
