For such a compact scanner this thing absolutely rocks!!! The price is hard to beat on the current market as well, you could spend less on something from the other competitors but this scanner will leave them in the dust. I wasn't too sure how it would do considering some scanners cost thousands of dollars but I am amazed! You can read any fault codes, they offer support to basically every vehicle manufacturer, there is live data readouts, tons and tons of features. I've only cracked the surface of what this thing can do and it blew me away with just a few minutes of toying around with it. When it arrived it had everything needed and came precharged as well. The screen is nice and big so readouts are super easy. I've never had a scanner that can do all this and for under $200 there is no way you're going to beat it. This is definitely a must have for any shop owner, big or small. Even the small part time mechanic or even someone who just wants to know what's going on with their vehicle. It takes minutes to set up and you are off to doing whatever is needed on your car or truck. It automatically logs vins and you can save all of your data for future uses. The best part about this thing is how many options there are for all manufacturers not just something specific. I came from working mostly on Audi and VW cars using VCDS and this will do those vehicles as well as my others too. The amount of different things this compact scanner can do blew me away. Within seconds I could read my fault code, check my battery voltage, and read out live data for throttle position and air/fuel mixture (there are tons of more readouts). I believe for just the live data on my Suburban there was a total of 47 different options that you could see at once!!! These guys that made this product definitely know what they are doing and have made something for the everyday consumer down to the little guys who just want to do a quick scan and clear and check engine light. I like the fact that if it auto detects the car you can scan and then send yourself a result sheet via email, good to have to then look up things to figure out what has happened. The shape is actually easy to work with in your hands and the touchscreen including the keypad that comes up are very user friendly, the keypad is way better than the one on my phone. I also just found out while typing this and having it plugged into my car that it will charge itself using the OBD2 plug!!! This thing just keeps getting better!! I will recommend this to all my friends and family, do not hesitate to buy!!

The launch CRP123X Elite is perfect for DIY guy. For the price of it, the quality is outstanding. Its stout, but not overly heavy. Feels like it is constructed with quality materials. The hand grips on the back of it help when trying to hold it. It is mostly plug and play, it has a rechargeable battery which is nice. That means you don’t have to be plugged into something to be able to turn it on. It comes with a nice zip up case.. The touchscreen on it is amazing, it is just like using your smart phone. It is very user friendly. Of course if you don’t want to use the touch screen(maybe your hands are dirty) then you can use the actual buttons. Some of the features I love about it is that it has a “mall”. It has all your basic diagnostic tools downloaded into it, but if you find yourself needing something, just connect to the wifi (easy to do and worth it for other features) then you can pick the diagnostic tool you need, purchase it (most were around 30$) and then download it. Other useful features are the code search. If your connected to wifi, when you do the code search it brings up Google search just the same way it does on your phone. It also has memory, it will save the vehicle information and codes for future use. If your unplugged and away from the vehicle, but want to look at the codes it has just power it on, and find the file. The VIN auto detect is great also. I had a vehicle in the garage I was working on. The ABS light was on, so I plugged in the CRP123. It told me the Front Left wheel speed sensor had an error. I was able to go in, monitor the voltage and speed of the LH and RH wheel speed sensors. The RH wss worked perfect, the crp 123 gave me a live readout on the screen of the voltage and speed I was traveling. The LH wss was defective. It did not read out any voltage, or speed. I replaced the wheel speed sensor, monitored it again, and wouldn’t you know it, it fixed it. Over all this is a USER FRIENDLY, AFFORDABLE scan tool. I love it.

I the Launch Creader professional 123x thinking it would just be a code reader. I was wrong this is a full scan tool and has been amazing to use. It is also very simple to use and has free updates. I connected it to Wi-Fi and to my computer and immediately started to update for all vehicles. I took it to work and put it to use this tool does everything it says it can do and then some. the ability to graph and merge has been helpful especially when the factory scan tool isn't available. I have used this tool on all models of vehicles foreign and domestic and it does everything it can access on every vehicle I have used it on. The software is also user friendly everything is layer out on the screen really well when trying to access live data. The response time wasn't bad when I was checking the O2 sensors on a 2008 Pontiac G6 I had a p0420 cat threshold code, and I was amazed that it showed all 4 O2 sensor and could figure out which cat went bad. When I thought it couldn't get better it did. I had a vehicle that would have to jump every few days, but the battery and alternator tested good. I then set up the tool to read battery voltage over time so I could see if it would drop randomly, and it did when I walked away and went back and looked saved the data to show the customer. This tool is also for all levels of technicians whether you're a do it yourself type or a master tech you can't go wrong with this tool for its value. It also has access to the internet to look at what others have done and tips to help with diagnosing the vehicle you are working on. I really like this feature because sometimes in the automotive world nothing is ever what it seems at first. To have the ability to know what others have done in the same situation is crucial so you are not making an incorrect diagnosis. I will now be a customer of launch after getting this scan tool.

I took the chance on this product and its great, very easy to use although a little more information in the manual would be useful. As soon as I started it up the update worked, I connected it to my vehicles it found two out of three with the auto scan my 2002 Thunderbird I had to input manually and the diagnoses got a little confusing there so still figuring it out. My 2010 Mercury Mariner was great and it found fault codes I wasn't aware of so need to look at that but it works fine. As some have commented before a longer lead would be better plus a 90 degrees bend on the connector that foes to the actual unit would be a better design that the solid stick out the top of the device one they supply. It charges itself via a usb cable that comes with it which you can connect to your computer or a phone charger but it also charges when connected to the car by the obd connector. Worth knowing. I like the fact that if it auto detects the car you can scan and then send yourself a result sheet via email, good to have to then look up things to figure out what has happened. The shape is actually easy to work with in your hands and the touchscreen including the keypad that comes up are very user friendly, the keypad is way better than the one on my phone. So far with just initial use its worked well and very impressed, I got this more as a stand by device as you never need these things until you don't have it. Lets hope I don't but worth the money to have it just in case.

The launch CRP123X is an all in one, user friendly scan tool that you is easy on your wallet! Opening the box, you will find the unit and its cabling all neatly organized in a nice zippered case. The OBD cable, charging cord, and the unit itself fit perfectly inside this case. The unit came charged, so quickly attaching the OBD2 cable meant it was ready to go in literally seconds. Set up was very easy. It is quite snappy and responsive! Running on a recent Android software, initialization took very little time. Connecting to my wifi was just as easy as any other device would be. Upon connecting to the internet, there were multiple updates needing to be performed. Downloading all available updates, the process took about 10 minutes. This updated many makes and manufactures. After that I was ready to use! The quality of the unit itself is great. It feels solid and durable. A rubberized exterior feels good in your hands. The physical buttons produce a solid click, ensuring proper feed back. The screen is very good. It's touch screen, so if you'd rather not use the physical buttons, a simple tap allows you to navigate like any modern day tablet or smart phone. Additionally, the screen is impressively bright and easy to read. Its full color and easy to read even in direct sunlight. Adjusting the brightness can be done in the settings, allowing you to set it at whatever you prefer. Once connected to a vehicle, this unit provides you with a plethora of information. From baisic codes, to freeze frame data and even vehicle specific programming. The auto VIN read function is great. It can identify the vehicle Make, Model, Trim level, Engine, and Transmission for you. It will also then automatically run a scan producing an easy to understand summary of the health of your vehicle on the spot. This can be easily shared to the specified email address input during the initial set up. This is great information to have both for a shop to keep records and to present to a customer. You can also save a copy of this information to the cloud or to the device itself. The system also allows you to manually input the vehicle information should you choose to do so should you not want to utilize the Auto VIN read functionality. Being able to read live data is crucial to todays technician. This device provides just that! I was able to easily select multiple PCM catagories and read real time input and out put. You can see almost all information the PCM does making data logging easy. It can be overwhelming to see all that data at once, so Launch incorporated the ability to select specific lines of data to focus on should you only want to see one aspect while diagnosing. There are limitations to the unit out of the box, but additional services can be upgraded through the units "Mall" application. ABS Brake system flushing, TPMS relearning, hybrid battery system services, and many more can all be purchased for a small fee. This is very beneficial as you can upgrade your capabilities as needed, instead of having to purchase additional tools or programs across multiple platforms or devices. This means you buy what you need as needed rather than spending hundreds of dollars of applications you may never use. Overall, this diagnostic tool is a small functional powerhouse with immense potential at an affordable price point. If you are looking for a scan tool thats easy to use, easy to understand, and wont break the bank, I would recommend this to be a great starting point.

I own a small dealership and I'm always stopping to look at cars for sale on the side of the road or at the auctions. I have more powerful scan tools back at the shop, but they're expensive and way over kill for what I really need when I'm running basic diagnostics and inspecting cars. You're not going to be able to program with it, but it's excellent for pulling codes on pretty much any car you can hook an obd 2 connector too. For the actual use of the tool, I found it to be satisfactory. The icons are self explanatory for navigating through the make model and years of the vehicle. Once you have a vehicle loaded into the tool, it's easy to continue navigation through the various data information. Refresh rate is important when trying to catch a glitch in a sensor, and I didn't notice any lags that would be an issue. Seemed pretty quick actually. So pulling codes and live data is no problem for this thing. Which is good, because that's the reason I wanted to have an inexpensive scan tool to keep in the truck. As for the build quality, I wasn't expecting much. Kinda figured I'd have to be gentle with it, but in reality I've accidentally dropped it on the ground several times and it's not busted and still works. Only thing I miss when using it is the fact it uses a cord and doesn't have a blu tooth wireless connection to the diagnostic data link connector. My other tools have that, and although it's nice, it's also not necessary. The cord is plenty long enough for what you need it to do. The screen is large enough and we'll backlit for working in sunny conditions. The buttons on the tool are simple to use and we'll placed so you really don't have to look any what your pressing to navigate once you get used to it. I haven't been using the case, but it's nice that it comes with one. You could easily keep the tool in the case and in your glove box. Can't say that about my other more expensive scan tools. Those cases are huge. If you're looking for an inexpensive scan tool, I would recommend considering this one. It's able to connect to pretty much any car, so you're not having to pay additional money to unlock odd ball stuff like some tools make you do. It's not very expensive, so if you decide to upgrade later you can simply use this one for lighter diagnostic work.

Works great for basic scanning and a few other things but you do have to pay a yearly subscription for full unlock of special functions for every specific model car you want to work on.... but Good at diagnostic and getting the code you need for you problem it's really portable and the case it comes in is convenient and has been compatible with every car I've used on and the intelligent scann is cool fast and convenient. Definitely recommend

I had an airbag error come up after replacing the Clock spring in my Mitsubishi Pajero NT (Montero) . Tried to get rid of this error with two other diagnostic tools with no luck . Once I pluged this unit in , it detected errors and cleared it in 2 min .

Works flawlesly, a quality product. Easyto use,saves a lot of garage fees, just easy to find problems. Mine is ideal for the home mechcanic. Lifetime software upgrades. also great support frm Launch Support.
