Works as advertised!Durable materials and construction.Loosen the set screw, shove as much of the cable as you can down the drain, leave 3-4 inches sticking out (too much flexes and bends), tighten the set screw, rotate the drum while aggressively shoving more cable into the drain, loosen set screw and repeat the entire process and simply no more cable will go into the drain.Keep rotating the drum while aggressively shoving and working the cable around as much as you can for a minute, the keep rotating the drum as you pull it back out.Don’t be surprised if you need to wrestle it a bit to remove.*ALL drain snakes work as aboveI did exactly as above and my tub was draining like new about 15 minutes after the package arrived!

Bought this to get out a tough clog. It worked. It would be helpful if it came with instructions.

It also arrived later than it was supposed to, which is really frustrating when you're dealing with a clogged drain. When it finally arrived, it didn't work -- at all. Don't waste your time with this product.It was not shipped in a box, just a manila envelope so it's not surprising that the hard plastic drum that holds the snake was cracked. When I turned the wheel nothing happened -- it didn't spool or unspool. There's no levers or latches to engage/disengage. The snake didn't come out at all, regardless of whether the screw was tightened. The snake would only come out of the drum if I loosened the nut and pulled it out by hand. Clearly it's either broken from the crack in the plastic, or the design is flawed. There's no way this auger would force a snake down any drain.

When you spin the crank the wire inside is stiff and doesn't flop very well, its what you need to really clear the sides of a drain.But ok for cheap.Didnt use attachments, Id opt out if I could on those.

It would have been nice if this came with some instructions. I worked this snake in the drain pipe after removing the P-Trap for about 30 minutes and was only able to extract small bits of debris from my clogged drain. I ended up calling a plumber who was able to unclog it with their snake within 45 minutes. He said it wasn't anything terribly unusual, in terms of the clog itself.

This is by far the easiest and best snake I've ever used. I've had a lot of plumbing problems with my older home and this thing worked like a dream. It made quick work of a dirty job. I love it!!
