I started with the lightest weight, 1 lb, and graduated to the 1-½ lb after a year of water aerobics. I will buy again as I continue to strengthen. They dry quickly because only the neoprene covering holds water. The color does fade with the pool chlorine but it doesn’t deteriorate.
