Probably one of the best hair styling products I've ever bought. **Q: Is the size of the barrel 1/2 inch to 1 inch or 1 inch throughout?** A: I would say 1/2 in to 1 in. It's wider at the base. Great product! **Q: does it come with the glove?** A: Yes, mine did come with a glove. Great styler for the price. **Q: does this create tight curls as well?** A: It depends on how long you leave the iron in your hair. Honestly if your looking for SUPER tight curls you should get the Baby Curls instead of the Grande but I think the Grande does a great job with looser waves and tighter more defined curls depending on how long you leave it in.
