I use these exclusively for cardio drumming classes. After only one class they were all chipped up and looked awful! They work but the coloring does NOT hold up.

I have been practicing various kinds of drumming exercises and movements (Hand drumming of numerous styles of drums, American style drumming and Taiko Drumming) for many years. Over the years I have bought numerous kinds of drum sticks to do my practice sessions with, and I recently purchased this type (Grip Stix, “16” long, non-slip, blue Timbale drumsticks-$12.97) because they were bargain priced on Amazon. In the past, and even now, I think this model drum stick designed for drum aerobic classes was WAY OVERPRICED ($28.00 plus S/H cost); however, if you search Amazon you will find these drum sticks much cheaper and free shipping In any case, I was very pleased with the fast service receiving these drum sticks in only one day.They are well balanced and feel great in the hands for regular drumming practice; however, my only complaint is that their diameter is a little thin because I practice Taiko drumming in which the sticks used are somewhat thicker. I do like the length and weight of the drum sticks when doing some standard type exercises with them for fitness. These drum sticks are ideal for various kinds of drumming workouts.Rating: 4 Stars. I ordered these for my cardio drumming class. After my first class they were all chipped. They still work just not durable in that sense.

Introduced my 81 year old grandma to cardio drumming videos to keep her active. Our family gets sweaty palms with any exercise. The sticks I previously gave her didn’t have the grip these do and made it more difficult to keep hold. She loves these!

If you don’t have the strength of Godzilla, then these will be perfect for your cardio drumming needs. These should not be for actually playing the drums, I’d imagine those types of drum sticks would be made out of a different type of wood and chemically treated to last for banging.

I got these for my son -- a blooming drummer. He just got a new set of digital drums and was looking for new sticks as well. He has achondroplasia and his limbs are quite short. So normally we just cut sticks down to size. That's not the best and affects the balance and feel. However, he told me that not only were these sticks cool, but they fit him, too! Amazing. So, needless to say, we are very happy with the drumsticks and will order some more.
