Pirates of the Caribbean II: Dead Man's Chest Davy Jones Key Replica

As a big POTC fan, I pick up the odd bit of memorabilia here and there, and I also like old "retro" things in general - not all of Master Replica's products are as successful as this almost perfect copy of the Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest key to the chest of Davy Jones. (I know it's shape and size is perfect, I looked it up in a book about the movie, LOL.) Plus, as other posters say, it's some kind of nice strong metal (hope it is pewter) under a coat of "antiqued" black paint (it isn't cheap flaky paint either, maybe it's enamel). So happy with this key I want to order another one for a fellow pirate fan. One thing about the POTC movies, the makers did a lot of very cool accessorizing, and this is just a neat thing to wear, hang up someplace, use as a keychain, etc.The only negative I can think of is that one arm of this double-armed key IS pointed (which is screen accurate to the movie), it's not that sharp but I would not have a young child playing with it either, the package does say 8 years and up. Oh, and the packaging needs a jackhammer to get into, is this the plastic they use on car bumpers?Tie this to a bottle of rum and give it to your fellow pirate for the holidays.....yo ho ho.

While this product is totally useless as a functional key, it is a superior piece in terms of fashion. Made of hard metal (cast iron?) it will not disappoint anyone who wants to add a durable piece of mystique to their person. The painting on the key is slightly lower quality than I expected, but it is a great product for its price.

I like the quality of this key. Exactly what I am looking for and I will enjoy it. Being a Captain Jack Sparrow look-a-like I strive for the perfect screen accurate outfit. This appears to be screen accurate and of good quality and I would recomend it to others.

I bought this for my daughter's birthday, as she had expressed interest in it. I was amazed at the size and quality of it when it arrived. It is a heavy, iron key, not the cheap toy quality that I expected. My daughter wears it as an accessory on the leather thong that came with it and always gets many compliments.

Looks real, like the one in the movie, only not for play- end has a sharp point...maybe for a young adult...

I really advice you to buy this one if you like to own something antique & cool, to reminds you with the Pirates :DActually I'm leaving it with it box without opening it as a furniture in my room and also as an accessory :)Best of luck,,
