Yes! You want this cage!
If you are a serious bird owner and want a quality cage for your birds, this is definitely one to give consideration to. As you are probably aware of, cages need to be longer than they are taller. Birds fly vertically, not horizontally. I'm currently using this cage as a breeder or my red factor canaries. Once I put my birds in this cage, the automatically started flying from one side to the other, they loved it! Most traditional cages just do not give the bird ample room to fly around. I feel that this cage would be ideal for canaries, finches, parakeets, love birds, cockatiels and other small to medium sized birds. I don't use the food bowls that come with this cage, they are a bit large for canaries. I do use the bowls as bird baths for them, it works perfectly. This cage is definitely a quality cage and made of good solid construction. I use it indoors and even though it gets wet from the birds bathing, I don't have to worry about it rusting. The instructions were sensible, and I assembled it in under an hour. You don't need any tools besides the ones they provide with the cage. For me, I like that an additional cage can be added or stacked on top of this cage if you so choose to. I can't speak for the other cage brands that are similar to this cage, but I can tell you that this one is well done and worth the money.

I dig this cage!
We needed another two cages in a hurry to rescue a pair of birds from a bad situation and this was the perfect combination of decent space without being overly bulky. Future expansion possible by adding another pair on top is great for higher density bird lodging. My birds are usually out and about during the day, but these cages are actually fairly roomy, especially if you have the type of birds who don't roam vertically. My rescue quaker and canary-winged parakeet dig their new home- and I'll remove the center divider to let them hang together removes some anxiety for them at times... but it's nice to be able to separate them at times when they get a little squabbly.Build quality is excellent and almost ALL my cages are this same brand- because I know they'll be good. There are remarkably similar cages being sold under other names and I've seen those in person- they're sometimes the same cage with a different painted finish instead of the baked finish this one has and a couple of them are evidently just copies which are inferior in quality. Hard to tell from pics online, so I just stick with the brand that always delivers. I have four Prevue cages- and one that I thought was a Prevue but without the name and $30 cheaper... that one resembles the Prevue but has issues that are NOT worth saving $30 over.Pro tip- I cut a clear piece of acrylic in the same size as the divider and use it of two birds are housed in there which don't get a long- so no toe biting. The friendly ones do fine with the wire divider. I've also added a removable opaque acrylic divider so if I put two in there who are aggravating each other- they can't see the other one- cuts down on chatter and squawking.I'm a Prevue fan, for sure. I'll be getting another pair to mount on top of this one so I can house four in my home office so they can hang out with me while I work. My only suggestion would be a solid divider as an option.*I am a VINE reviewer, but this cage was not part of the VINE program and was a personal purchase at full price.

Perfect for Canaries and Finches
I was given several birds from a person who could no longer keep them. I ended up with 4 male canaries and 1 female, 1 breeding pair of finches and an offspring. Long story short, the male canaries began fighting. This cage system allowed me to be able to separate them out yet keep them closer together (2 cages stacked on one stand).I purchased a mate for the Finch offspring and have separated him from his parents in their own divided cage. I am now looking to purchase another cage to put on the top of the Finches for some of the offsprings.Pros: cages are easy to put together, well constructed, and adequate size for smaller birds. My birds love the deep feed dishes as the water provides them room for bathing. The cages attach securely to each other when stacking.Cons: the side door for nests opens entirely too easily. I used zip ties and secured the doors so that my birds would not get injured. Three cages stacked is very tall! Although the cages are very secure together when stacked 3 tall, they are not secure on the rolling stand; the cages become top heavy. If secured to the wall or on a non moving stand, they would be fine. However, 2 cages are not top heavy and move around easily on the roller stand.

Nice cages!
I just got this assembled today. I bought this with the stand, and the extra cage to stack on top of this set. I didn't buy them for breeding purposes, I just bought them as stackable bird cages. I assembled them myself, both cages and the stand, it took me about 2 and a half hours, and I had no problems with assembly or missing pieces. Everything was there and it went together great! It's very sturdy and it looks really attractive all set up. I don't use the dividers in the cages, I removed the divider and use the full cage. I have a Green Cheek Conure in the bottom one, and a Cockatiel in the top one. There's plenty of space for each bird without the divider. With the divider, the cages are pretty small - I wouldn't feel comfortable keeping anything bigger than a set of Budgies (Parakeets) in the cage with the divider. On the side of each cage there are "nest box" access doors on a spring hinge that don't latch (check out the stock pictures) - if you aren't using nest boxes or breeding, you'll want to secure these side doors shut with something (I secured them with screw-on perches inside the cage) because your parrot could push the door open and get stuck when the door snaps shut on him. Anyway, great cages for the price!!
