TigerEye Three Bikes Eye Helmet Mirror

"As is" -- Its a Good Mirror for Casual Cyclist -- Had Some Quality and Vibration Problems
Upon receipt the mirror's reflective surface had a slight scratch, however once on the helmet, it did not affect my field of vision and in fact I have not noticed it since. The mirror also had another quality control problem -- I had to re-bend the wire at the helmet end to shape it as shown in the picture. After doing that mounting it on the helmet was straight forward. The wire/spoke is quite stiff, so it took a bit of fiddling to position the reflective surface in the line of sight which I like, which is at the top left of my visual field through the lens of my glasses (about as far away from "straight ahead" as I can manage). To do so requires two hands -- one to hold the mount so it will not slip off the helmet and the other to bend the wire up and to the left. As stated in the instructions, expect to take a few rides to get it there. I have another helmet with a different mirror and can compare the two. Both are subject to vibration, unlike mirrors which attach to glasses. So set your expectations for that (if you raise your butt off the seat - or ride on a very smooth road - the vibrations are minimal if you are checking for cars far to the rear). The TigerEye does not have quite as large a field of vision as my other mirror, however when riding I adapt to that and it is not an issue.18-APR-2016 Update: I have more to say about vibration and mounting issues now that I have used it on a significant number or rides.VIBRATION: the Tiger Eye mirror does not dampen road vibration as quickly as my other mirror, and it is subject to vibration caused by flowing air on down hill speed runs."As is," this mirror would be good for the casual cyclist who rides park trails at low speeds.MOUNTING: I pack my cycling gear in a duffel bag and take care to minimize bumping the mirror during transport. My other helmet-mirror combination has never come loose. The Tiger Eye has come loose and it is annoying. The work-around I used was to use a plastic cable zip tie to secure the mirror to my helmet. That worked. Today I used another one to place pressure on the spoke near the helmet to help dampen vibration -- I strongly believe it will work and I will at last be happy with my mirror. I will try to remember to update this review when I actually learn how well that work-around performed.20-APR-2016 The plastic cable zip tie to dampen vibration worked perfectly both on road and trail. Good but Could Be Better
Very handy little tool to have ... I feel much safer riding my bike with a rear-view mirror (and I think this helmet type is safer than the ones mounted on the end of the handlebars, where you have to look down - away from the road - to see what's behind you). This little mirror is a little hard to adjust on the helmet, though, and you have to struggle to position it on the helmet ... this earns it only a 4 as a result. And you can only adjust the mirror by turning it left-right; they should also design it so it can be tilted up or down But I still like this little mirror, and I'm glad I have it.

Excellent Helmet Mirror!
This is the best cycling mirror I've found for mounting on a helmet - very stable. Someone complained that the mirror was dull and smudgy - you might want to take off the protective film - It's amazing how much better the mirror works then!Having the mirror on the helmet means you can wear or not wear any glasses, sunglasses, etc, you want, without having to switch your Take-a-Look mirror around.Only con: you may have to do some work with a pair of pliers to get the best fit for your particular helmet.

Good mirror from a small creative company!
While the idea isn't original, I like the fact they are using a recycled bike spoke for this mirror. I used to have a mirror on my Surly LHT but when the bike fell over, the mirror went bye bye. I was considering going with the Rivendale German mirror everyone talks about that mounts on the handlebars, or maybe the Mirrcycle road mirror but decided to go with a helmet-mounted one instead. So far, the mirror works well and looks cool, it just takes some time getting used to. They have some other cool designs as well!

Now I find it very helpful and would recommend it to anyone considering it
It took some time getting it adjusted properly and then some time getting use to using it. The tendency is to move your head in the opposite direction to change your view. Now I find it very helpful and would recommend it to anyone considering it.

This is the one!
This is by far the best mirror I found. I was able to attach it to my helmet securely and can easily adjust it when needed.

Tried to like it
wanted a mirror that would not take up space on handlebars. tried this helmet mounted Tiger eye. I found the field of view very narrow and had to tilt head a round to get good view of traffic behind you. Mounting was a little difficult as it is only held on with tension of the spring bend. Over time the mirror would move with normal vibration and you would have to reposition it again. Frame is a stainless bend bicycle spoke. not much precision in the bends and will have to be rebent to work with various helmets to position it properly. Mirror is glass and did survive a fall after falling off my helmet. optically clear and pivots in many directions at the joint. Because of the length of spoke wire there was considerable vibration even riding on smooth pavement. I switched to a bar-end mounted mirror which gave a more wider coverage and didnt suffer from the vibration problems.

Good value.
You will almost certainly have to do some 'engineering' to attach this mirror to your helmet (I used some dollar store suction hooks) but the wire is tough and flexible (with pliers). Worth the effort to mount the mirror properly the first time.
