I bought this product to protect my daughters' natural hair while swimming. One of the worst things that has happened is after spending HOURS on their hairstyle and gobs of expensive product getting their hair to look perfect, and then it all disappears in a cloud of white as they cannonball into the pool. This event led me to look for a protective cap to save my hard work and their beautiful hair from being ruined in the water. This cap fits my four year old to my eight year old equally well. It has a nice thick material with a great stretch and fits very tightly. It fit well over their natural hair, but it was barely big enough to cover their head when they had their extensions in.

I have two daughters who take swimming class. I was so excited to try these out because their hair is soaking wet after swimming and the other swim caps hurt when they put them on and Im sure also cause hair breakage. The quality of the cap is great, soft, and durable and a good stretch and VERY easy to put on over those other latex caps they are literally like OJ trying on the glove, so I am very please with the ease and so are my girls they usually hated to put on the caps now they don't complain, BUUUUUUUT... one of my daughters hair still gets a little wet around the neck area but not hardly as much as it did with the other caps. As for my other daughter it's useless. Her her is soaked as if she doesn't even have one on. I don't understand it I have tried different hair styles and making sure there are no gaps, no matter what each week its the same thing ones hair is somewhat wet the other is drenched. It supposed to be made specifically for thick black hair and its not wiring for but I use it anyway in hopes that this next time we may get lucky, so far no luck. So take your chances it may work it may not.

As black women, our hair getting wet is usually in the top 5 reasons we don't swim or never learned how. NOTHING worked when I was a kid and teen, so I was very skeptical trying any kind of cap with my daughter. But she wanted to swim so bad, so I had to try something. I am so happy to say that she's been in the pool multiple times now with this cap and not a single strand was wet. Not even the edges, which I actually would have been ok with, based on what I remember about my whole head being soaked as a kid even with multiple caps and a shower cap!! I had a low bar and this exceeded far beyond. Why is a simple swim cap that works such a big deal? Because its going to allow our generation to give our black kids access to a little piece of childhood (and an important life skill) that we maybe didn't get to enjoy ourselves.

This cap arrived super fast. It was so reasonably priced and thr material is legit quality. This covers her whole head and braids for a good dry hair fit and swim for my 7 yr old. She says it's comfortable and loves wearing it. The color is super vibrant and once one. It seals to avoid leaks.
