PART FOR THE SX12
Many of you have mentioned how hard it is to find part for our Monsters..... I live in Alaska, I most likely have the only Monster SX12 in the state. After going through (a year) everything you all have mentioned, I figured out a way around the FL dealers lack of support. There are far more dealers in Canada, with a stockpile of parts in Quebec. I deal with 'City-Wide Scooter in BC... citywidescooters.ca Safe yourself the US headache. I am not a rep for City Wide. I'm just thankful I was able to buy my motor & transaxle cheaper, including freight to Alaska, than I would have paid in the US.... Best of luck to you all..... I still enjoy my unit, now that I know where I can find parts....... I'm very rough on mine, thanks to this find, I've been able to keep it going. Still runs great!

Stay away from this scooter!
Don't buy this!My son has Cerebral Palsy and we purchased this scooter for him for Christmas of 2012. We live on 30 acres of mostly pasture land and he was feeling left out because sisters and brothers had atv's to ride. We actually went to a Heartway dealer in Florida so he could try it to see if he could operate it. He loved it! Every time the weather was nice, he would be out riding it. Fast forward to a year and half later. He is driving down the driveway and the scooter starts jerking and stops moving. I realize that you can't even disengage the drive to push it. We managed to get it in the basement and I start looking for support to get it fixed. Authorized repair is from a company called Numotion. What a nightmare! After contacting the local Numotion repair,(about 1 1/2 hours away) They tell me they will get right on it. Well here it is 3 months later and it still sits in the basement. Two weeks ago a repairman finally came and I was informed the repair would cost between 200.00 -1000.00, depending on the actual part it needed (possibly the motor and gearbox $1000.00) plus $85 per hour and I also have to pay for the travel time. Still waiting for a call from numotion to get the actual repair cost (keep getting voicemail when I try to contact them) My son has never ridden this hard at all. His brothers and sisters are not allowed to ride it and we have kept it in our finished basement when it is not being ridden. Of course the one year warranty is up. So now I have a $4500.00 door stop sitting in my basement waiting to be repaired. Support for the scooter is terrible. A year and a half of light use is not very impressive. Stay away from this scooter

Overall, this deserves only two stars. I give it this much because it's FAST and looks great. All the boys in the neighborhood admire it and want to drive it. It's cool.BUT don't buy this machine. It is made by Heartway, headquarted in Korea. I've had the scooter for two years and have had multiple problems with it, the latest being the destruction of the left hub assembly. The parts are on back order and won't be here for two months, but I could expedite the shipping and get them in a month. The original off-road tires didn't work well because they would rub against the fenders. Many exchanges were made. Nothing worked. We then got road tires of a strange size and poor quality. They have to be replaced every 500 miles. I've paid lots of money to repairmen for all the times they have had to fix something. What a disappointment. If you buy this, you will be happy for only a very short time. In the two years I've owned the Monster, I've had to put an awful lot of money into it.

This really is a Monster
I have had My Vita Monster S12X for about 5 months. It's Awesome. I typically say life altering. Yes the 28 mile range is a complete farce, but everything else about it is amazing. I use it almost daily and go approximately 50 miles a week on it. The other reviewer wasn't happy with the top speed... I don't know what to say other than I am 215 lbs and often hit 12.5 to 13 mph on flat hard surfaces. I have never run out of juice on the road, but the last bar, out of six, typically starts flashing after about 10 miles. I'd guess I could do 12-13 miles, but I haven't pushed it yet. That out of the way, the main reason I bought this scooter was to go off road. I am an amateur photographer and this scooter has opened so many new possibilities for me that I could never have had using my manual wheelchair. I use some caution on very steep inclines/declines, but as far as open fields, parks, walking trails... no problems at all. By mistake I found myself going down a 30 degree slope... thought I was going to die, but I didn't... I made it to the bottom 30 feet later. The only better off road experience I've had was using a Magic Mobility X8 Extreme. That beast was fantastic for really tough terrain, but couldn't come close to the speed or handling of the Monster... and it's $20,000. This was a steal at the time I bought it for $3995... +$280 for the bigger batteries. Don't get the smaller battery, that probably would be a nightmare. Again, battery life/range is the only reason this doesn't get 5 stars. Coming from a T12 paraplegic... This scooter ROCKS. (My 3 year old son often rides along with me on the 10 mile trips... he also thinks "It's AWESOME")***** 7 years later and I just replaced the batteries for the first time. Runs like new. I’m 250lbs and just got back from a 14.5 mile ride on a local paved trail. I still had 3 out of 6 bars of power lit up. Top end speed is consistent at 12.5 mph but varies on hills from 10.5 going up a substantial grade to 14.0 going down. I guess I’ve been lucky. Roughly 1600 miles and going strong. I have replaced the rear tires once. Still love it! Been averaging 50-60 miles a week lately during the pandemic.
