About to get hit by the eye of Beryl hurricane..
About to get hit by the eye of Beryl hurricane, and these board clips worked like a charm.. When pushing the BCX boards in, it just grabbed firmly.I used 5/8" BCX boards, and the eye of Hurticane Beryl will be hitting us in 4 hours..Very pleased on how secure these clips are on the board and how they grab the bricks..In the past, I used a different clip brand, but these steel clips really have great quality.I liked the fact that it can fit different board thicknesses, since they are steel and don't just bend away and losen away..I tried 1/2" Trusscore PVC planks on one window, and was pleasantly surprised how good and easy it was to cut and install.. They are more than 1/3 the weight of BCX boards, maybe not as sturdy, but they last forever, acceptable protection, and are easy to store in the attic since they are light. Though, they are 4 times more expensive than BCX.thanks..

Great investment and are extremely easy to install and remove.
Bought these in preparation for Hurricane Helene but ended up not using them as I live close to Tampa bay. However, we decided to board for Hurricane Milton and are very thankful we did. Utilizing these clips saved us hours of install. Once I cut the boards 1/2” less than my window opening these clips slide right on and made the install a breeze. It took my wife and I longer to carry the boards to each window location than it did to install and remove the boards and clips. Probably took the two of us 20minutes to board up 12 windows, 2 exterior doors, and a sliding glass door and even quicker to remove.Fast forward to the hurricane. These clips held with wind gusts well over 100mph in our area with no issues at all. Not one time during the storm did I think the clips would fail. Again, I cannot stress enough the ease of use and peace of mind these clips brought us.Wish these were around back in the days.

Clever design, passed its first “light duty” test
The media could not be loaded. The clips were delivered on time. Their design is an interesting adaptation/enhancement of the more well known ”Plylox” clip, which is supposed to allow them to work on a variety of plywood widths. They appear to be well made and up to the task. Since, thankfully, we have not yet experienced a hurricane this season (and hopefully never will), I can't yet attest to their effectiveness and reliability, which is why I gave them a 4 star rank, so far. If I have to put them to the test (and I survive 😉), I will update this review based on their performance. (post Dorian update: Clips deployed easily, held the wood braces in place tightly, released from the window frame with no trouble and passed their first admittedly “light duty” test with flying colors.) To the manufacturer/distributer: if you hope to super charge sales, I suggest you post video of these passing testing at a reputable wind tunnel/ hurricane research facility.

Tried and tested with Hurricane Baryl
Came to write this after a Hurricane came through.I was bit skeptical at first but decided to buy them based off the reviews. Not long after I purchased these, Hurricane Baryl decides to slam into Houston and I ended up using these to protect my windows along with Plywood. These worked 100% great at preventing the plywood from moving or shifting, allowing the protection of my windows. Even as I was taking them down, they were still in a solid position which is just reassuring. I'm happy with my purchase and will be using these for whatever future storms come my way.

Worked Incredibly Well
I installed these for the 1st time for Hurricane Milton. I live in Pinellas county in Florida and they held up so well through the storm. I was able to install them and take them down with ease by myself.
