Hard to figure out how to fold it, so I use it flat. It works!! Very sticky (hard to get it off my shoe if I accidentally step on it). It catches spiders and centipedes, which I have an excessive amount of. I placed them all over the apt. They are large. No odor. Very good for the price. Centipedes eat the spiders and the spiders are big, but both of them are scaring the children.

These are the best for stopping spiders. I've purchased them year after year. I put several around the baseboards of our family room near our big stone fireplace. I leave them flat since we don't have any pets. The spiders seem to sneak in through the fireplace stones from the outside. It's almost shocking how many spiders find their way in and enjoy our hospitality. I've tried spraying around the perimeter of the house with bug and spider spray but these work much better.

I'm in a house that's over 50 years old, very clean but with a small moisture issue in the basement that I just bought a pump dehumidifier for. Had a manual-dump dehumidifier for years before but it doesn't seem to remove enough moisture. I reference this as this is the only reason why I can see that I'd have an issue with spiders down there; it's not major, but there's enough (I can find about one a day during Spring) that it's a problem. So I put a half dozen of these in the spots I've seen them. They have caught some huge ones. Where these things are coming from is SO puzzling, as there are minimal ways to enter from the outside and most everything is off the floors on rollers/etc., mostly organized and as clean as a basement can be. In other words, few places for them to hide. Once I see something trapped on one of these things I use a paper towel to grab the sticky part and squash the catch as quickly as possible; I really don't like killing things in general, and I'm hoping that the spiders/silverfish/etc that get stuck on these die as quickly as possible, I don't want them struggling... ...Well... I saw a wolf spider caught on one one day. I had a horrible back issue and couldn't bend under the sink area to get to it immediately... The next day I could...BUT...THE WOLF SPIDER WAS GONE FROM THE TRAP. A medium sized one this time. I was absolutely shocked. These strips are kinda like those wax hair-removal strips. In fact, I assumed that's basically what they are, re-purposed. So, VERY sticky. I could NOT believe the spider was gone. I am the only one in the house. There is no other explanation except that it escaped the sticky part. I am continuing to use the strips with success, and they do seem to have reduced the problem by a solid 90% or so. Ended up catching at least a dozen wolf spiders, some very large (over a couple inches including their legs in a few instances...really horrifying things, even tho I understand they're beneficial in many ways. I can't tolerate them in my home). SO: it's a worthwhile product, but I'm checking on the strips frequently now and will make sure the catches are killed asap, also because apparently they can actually escape, which leads me to believe they're not dying quickly, which I'd much rather be the case. I'd ask the manufacturer if perhaps there's a way to help ensure they're killed when they get stuck, perhaps a natural food-based killer (like boric acid for ants, roaches, etc.) of some sort. Altho I'd rather not use anything toxic, I think in a case like this where it's so contained, it might make a good option for many of us to help ensure they don't escape, that they die quickly, and therefore completely effective.

UPDATE 09/22/2020 Manufacturer has changed from one wide strip of adhesive to four smaller strips per sheet. Seems to catch fewer camel crickets. Still works well. Must be a cost saving issue for manufacturer. Cost to consumer was not reduced. My attached utility room/laundry room had a few camel crickets or so I thought. I wasn't too worried until I started finding cricket poop on top of the washer and dryer and live crickets in the washer tub. Tried a pan full of water with a dish detergent. It caught a few. I saw these sticky traps on Amazon and decided to try them instead of using chemicals. OMG! The trap was completely covered with crickets. I folded the first trap into a tent, like the instructions said. Not much luck. The next one I laid flat on the floor, following the alternate instructions for crawling insects. Maybe that is the key for camel crickets. I checked it 30 minutes later and it was nearly half full. I have used 5 traps and the sticky surface of all of them has been completely full of crickets. I had no idea I had so many. Yuck. I will continue to leave traps down in case any future crickets come in the utility room. I definitely recommend these. They are easy and chemical free. It is gross picking up the trap full of crickets to drop in a garbage bag. Dispose of them promptly because them really stink after a couple of days. UPDATE 08/10/2019 I taped one of these to the kitchen widow because I kept seeing gnats or maybe fruit flies. it works like a charm. Even caught a fly. Definitely recommend these for inside and out. I don't fold them, just leave them flat. That seems to work better for the crickets and gnats.

This catches insects well. It originally came in a triangular version which you could turn onto 3 sides, allowing you to use it 3 times, each until the base was full with insects. It fit tightly into corners and was easy to fold and secure into shape. They are shipped as flat boards. The new one is rectangular. It does not fit into corners as well. It is hard to fold it into its shape from a flat shape it comes in. There is no way to secure it the shape, so you have to press and get it to stick to its own glue or something like that. I have not figured out how they expect you to do it. Also you can only use this on two sides not on three - effectively increasing your cost by 1/3. They say they made it into this shape because it has more room for larger creatures, however if you use it for spiders, and bugs, it is large enough as a triangle. It is not strong enough for mice, so I don't know what larger creatures they refer to. Mice walk on and off it when laid flat. It as a GREAT product before and now half the ease of use and bug catching quality is gone. I am looking for another brand which is exactly like this used to be. It was a perfect but trap. A lot of people talk about this in their reviews. There are other issues with the new version as well. Search for the word "model" and the reviews of the new model will come up. All that I saw were one star. I am giving it 3 stars because it can still do the job but it is now a royal pain and not as good.

i mainly use these to catch crickets that get in the house and garage. They are pretty easy to set up and the glue is really tacky. My cats don't seem to mess with them either. For catching cricket the location where you place these really makes a different. Seems like if the traps are in the normal path the crickets move in it catches them. It does not seem to attact the crickets and catch them. Sometime moving them only a few inches makes all the difference if they catch anything or not.

If you want to check a problem spot use these without worrying about possible problems with your pets or others getting into poison. These really do work if they are well placed where you’re likely to see an insect running along. They choose a wall next to a baseboard, large spiders march along there looking for their food. Dim light but not always no light. The box is hiding for them and helps catch them.

I placed these traps in 10 different areas in our home and garage where we have seen centipedes and spiders walking, living, nesting, etc. I left these traps undisturbed for a month. Did not catch one single bug. Not even a wayward silver fish. The spiders have started building nests in the same areas where i placed the traps, as if to mock me. I think i can hear the centepeds out in the garage at night laughing when im not there. I expect at some point all the bugs are going to pool their efforts and use the traps to build some afordable housing for their families.

All I can say is they are really really good

These are extremely difficult to work with due to the very, very sticky substance on the "trap" side plus they seem to be very ineffective. My set has been out for for than a week and not one insect has been caught.

Highly recommend, these sticky traps work very well for trapping unwanted pests, I Highly recommend getting some.

This product works extremely well! Has a great job of capturing spiders and centipedes in my basement. Lasts extremely long as well- I’d say minimum six months per strip.
