Im not sure if this will help but i was able to make square rings with this tool. Although the smallest size i remember being able to make was a 6x6 square ring. Any smaller and the rebar would not be long enough to be bent. It was a long time ago so im not 100% certain. There is a chance that i was able to make 5x5 squares but 6x6 is probably a safer bet.

You will want to contact the manufacturer direct for spare or replacement blades for the cutter.

Does not use blades. It is a wedge cutter system. Excellent for 1/4" rebar. A little difficult to cut 1/2" rebar but doable. Great for bending both diameter rebars.

I haven't even opened the box yet as I found the bender/cutter we had lost. We bought this one as a replacement. Don't the blades come with the tool?
