Brake It Up
Vehicle: 2002 BMW X5 3.0i AWD A/TYes, the brake wear sensor is still too short for any of those who were still wondering. I just wish they would remove it and knock of 5 bucks from the price. I would much prefer that. Not really a huge complaint though. I followed the bedding process and everything worked out. They're very quiet and power is good. Bosch is always my go to for BMW brakes.

Can't trust description here. Product error but still sold.
This is for the BP681, semi-metallic Bosch QuietCast.Bought here, sold and shipped from Amazon on 11/27/21.Issues:- Description here says it is Ceramic, for the Rear, etc., which of course is wrong (in my case, these go on the front of my BMW E53). So you should ignore those details, and search elsewhere for accurate information.- The included brake wear sensor cable is too short, so it cannot be installed. I called Bosch tech support (generally excellent, BTW) today and they confirmed there is a problem on their end (Bosch manufacturing) with this issue; Bosch has an "inventory quarantine" on the BP681 due to the problem. But that did not slow down Amazon at all in shipping it. He said I should try to deal with Amazon for the issue, which I find to be a bad answer from a respectable company like Bosch. So for now I am running with a paperclip in place, keeping the BRAKE warning at bay, wondering if the pain of dealing with Amazon is worth the effort in getting this fixed.- Description here about the backing shim being adhesively bonded to the steel backing plate is not true. It is a separate piece, held in place at four corners by the ears, but definitely not bonded as I hoped.- BTW, the reason I ordered these was because they were the only ones I could get delivered next day, as I needed when the first set I ordered arrived in an empty box due to either theft or loss before arriving here. The Amazon delivery driver was not concerned at all that delivering a clearly empty box to me was not helpful. Luckily she literally handed the empty box to me, so I immediately called her on it, starting the painful process that has now landed me here.

The sensor is too short
Thee brake sensors on these cars are not long enough so I have to go back to the dealer again to get the right cable. Amazon's fit-out guide says it fits the 2004 BMW x 5. But not suitable. Wear sensors can not be used in x 5 because they are quite a bit too short.

2004 BMW X5
Takes a little while to break them in but they hold nicely. No brake noise for me 👍🏽👍🏽

Great pads for an X5
The pads are long lasting and wear great. The brake pad wear sensor wire is to short for a 2003 X5. I used my old one because fortunately the old pads weren't wore to the sensor. Make sure you order a separate sensor that is made for your vehicle.

Amazing
The pads are good, but the sensor is short.what important, is that no noise or squeak and no brake dust. especially effective with Bosch rotors.
