This is a great step up from my previous trimmer line. It just lasts and lasts! Very durable, and knocks down everything from grass, weeds, and vines such as poison ivy and virginia creeper.

Best line trimmer I have purchased from Amazon. Easy to thread into weedeater. Cut is smooth. And it seems to last longer than previous brands.

Trimmer line is a particularly frustrating product because you will inevitably end up changing it more often than you'd like. I bought this particular line after watching a Smarter Every Day Youtube video about the most effective types of trimmer line. The products with solid cores scored consistently better and the 'winner' was a solid core string with straight razor edges. This Oregon line does have a solid core but is a rounded, thinner feeling line that doesn't hold up very well against solid objects. Overall it is a very solid performer and much better than the standard store bought line.Pros:- Clean, precision cuts produce a nice manicured look to edges, etc.- Lightweight material is more efficient, uses less fuel, and allows some of the low-power trimmers to run at higher RPM.- Solid core provides slightly increases durability, especially when using only on green material.Cons- Still very easily broken against solid objects (rocks, fencing, trees, signs, metal posts). For a solid core product, I was surprised at how often I was changing the line still. Compared to cheap store-bought line I got maybe 20% better performance.

Lasts longer than any other line I've ever used

My electric string trimmer (Greenworks G-Max 40V) was not very good at “ranch work”, like cutting through tall grass in rocky pastures. The other trimmer lines either didn’t survive long or didn’t cut effectively. However, that all changed when I started using this trimmer line! This stuff rocks (with rocks)! Not only does it last longer in rocky fields, but it cuts much better! It really makes my electric trimmer much faster and easier to use. Highly recommended; 5 stars.

Works well enough, however it is not worth the energy spent dealing with the few complications.First, a pro - cuts weeds and grass well enough. No complaints there.Con - if your cutting around rocks or stone flower beds, this stuff gets worn downfast. Compared to a no name brand I bought a few years back, it doesn't handle those conditions.Price for amount is good, however you'll need the amount for the replacement time.Also, the binding seems to happen more often which slows the process.Just my experience. Certainly not a pro product.
