We purchased a set of these steak knives in July 2016 and they are outstanding. We use the for most of our food cutting. They have held their edge all this time. They cut clean through steak, and can cut a fairly thin slice of meat, cheese, and vegetables. I am impressed at their performance.

I had purchased these knives a while back and didn't do a review at that time, but after having a steak dinner with my daughter recently and saw how dull her steak knives were compared to these, I had to come back to look these up again so I can get her some. I have been through sharp knives but these are the sharpest knives out there and the only kind I will use now. They will cut you like a razor blade can if you are not careful. I know when I put them in the sink I have to make sure they are laid out so they can be seen and pointed in the right direction to avoid being getting cut. My daughter's knives might not have been really dull and it could have been just where these had me spoiled on cutting steak so easily. If you want good steak knives, these are the best and I very highly recommend!!

I have not been one to give reviews, but I do appreciate those who will give an honest review. Truthfully the few reviews I have given have been negative, but these knives deserve a good review. We originally got one knife as a gift, we loved it so we found them on Amazon and bought a set of them. Then wanted a full 8 so bought another set. In all we have bought 6 sets, so we can give them to others as gifts. They are very reasonably priced, right now they are on sales for $27 dollars, list price $57 that is a $30 dollar savings, pretty good. They are sharp and have stayed sharp for years. Good size and weight. They are my go to knife! I have been using them for over 5 years. I use them a lot. I really didn’t think they needed another review because they are 4.5 stars with about 3,000 reviews, but here’s to being positive and another drop in the bucket of reviews.

My mother had a set of these knives .When she passed away I got three of them . I had no idea where she got them from . My mother was German and i figured she got them in Germany they are German made That was 5 years ago i have looked for them everywhere so I could get a set I Finally found that amazon has the same knives . I ordered them last week got them next day . I was so happy because after using them i ended up giving away another set I had .They don't rust or tarnish they stay sharp. Trust me i'm brutal with them sometimes. if i don't have a knife and im trying to open a box or package I grab one and it work perfect . So not only are they great for cutting food they hold up to other things . Most steak knives i've bought end up dull in no time I. have paid a lot of money for a nice set of knives in the past that ended up being terrible in a matter of months . These are reasonably priced and awesome you will love them . great investment .

When I wrote my first review below I hadn't understood how these knives should be used. I was trying to use them as a regular steak knife. These knives are very thin but extremely sharp (be careful of your fingers). You don't need to put much pressure on them to cut something. That was my mistake. They have become my knife of choice for most things at my dinner table. Sorry for my previous review. it was me jumping tp a premature conclusion. And, no--no one at the company asked me to update my review. I just like being honest about things. First Review Below I haven't been much of a review writer in the past, but I am getting tired of the way some of the outside vendors are taking advantage of the fact that Amazon does not control the quality of their products or the price they charge for them. I have almost always gotten decent to great value when buying directly from Amazon, and I buy a lot of stuff from them, about $10,000 to $12,000 a year or so the last three or four years. These knives are so thin that they are a joke. Good for cutting soft butter, but that's about it. They are so thin that I had a hard time cutting a boiled skinless hot dog with one. I had to be careful out of fear that it might bend then slip and cut me. At a Dollar store, they would probably sell for about $3.99 a package of six.

Certainly these are as good or better than many high-dollar priced brands. They are razor sharp and stay that way. I will say we do not put them in the dishwasher. Knives are very sharp. So far they are holding up well in the dishwasher. No rust or discoloration. The handles feel on the cheaper side. Would like it if they were thicker but they work fine and look like they should last. Didn’t want to overspend so these are great for the price. I just bought another 6.

I purchased these knives and some (seemingly similar) serrated knives to replace some old ones. These ones are notably better (at cutting) than the other knives. They actually cut meat, veggies, etc. where the other knives tend to tear as much as cut. The various comments about cutting ones self with these knives are valid. Treat them more like a scalpel, especially when new. They will cut you. This should be regarded as a feature, not a problem. The handles could use a styling upgrade, but they are functional and look like they'll last. If you want simple sharp serrated knives that cut, I recommend these.
