How thick is the air lifting pad?

I would guess less than 3/8” possibly 5/16”. Depending on how fabric is folded on corners. Manual says 1/2” opening under item being lifted but I have done less. Definitely saves your back and floorings when moving appliances.

Do I need special adapters for a subzero refrigerator?

Just small pieces of 2x4. This is a great product.
