Tiptree Little Scarlet Strawberry Preserve, 12 Ounce Jar

Very tasty! I love jams and jellies and this jam is very good.

I love this jam. It's finally restored to what I remember from childhood. I don't know why there seems to be a concerted effort to ruin every wonderful food by corporations. I would think "market forces" would produce better things we'd pay for, not cheaper things that nevertheless go up in price. Dump the robber baron's solidified water and corn syrup with meh strawberries... and switch. Seriously, borrow money if necessary, but don't waste another dollar on the junk elsewhere. Jam is special and should be sweet. This jam is chunky and very sweet with an intense strawberry flavor and real sugar. It's not watered down one bit. I'm not sure if it has seeds, I'd have to go check. If so, I didn't notice it. I did have a problem with one shipment, but it wasn't the jars. Some other thing broke and there was broken glass all over my amazon box. Nothing was broken, but I couldn't use it without danger of cutting myself. I'm surprised it was delivered that way. Probably a robot error, any human would've noticed it.

This strawberry preserve is wonderful. I'd buy it again, in a heartbeat. Instead of being mostly "fillers", these preserves are chunky, like good preserves should be, with lots of chunks of strawberry. I also love that this product contains no high-fructose corn syrup or other nasty ingredients. For someone like me, who can no longer put up my own preserves, it's hard to settle for the preserves and jams found in grocery stores. This one tastes and looks closer to home made. Unfortunately, my first jar was not fully wrapped in two layers of bubble wrap. Part of the jar was only wrapped in one layer. Unfortunately, the lid under the single-layer of bubble wrapped took a hit, which broke the seal, and strawberry preserves leaked all over the rest of my order. It was a mess. Amazon sent a replacement jar right away, but the second jar arrived in the same condition, not fully wrapped and with the lid dented under the single-layer part of the wrapping, once again breaking the seal and causing yet another mess. Unfortunately, the "return this item" page did not allow me to inform Amazon of the problem, so they could fix the problem in their packaging department. I doubt if Amazon staff reads customer reviews, but I know of no other way to let them know of the problem! If you're looking for a nice quality, high-end strawberry preserve, I'd recommend this product. However, it might be wise to order it as a single item, so the leaked jam won't leak all over the rest of your order. It was a sticky mess! Thankfully, enough remained in the jar(s) that I can enjoy what didn't leak out. Delicious!

If you haven't tried Tiptree jams and preserves, you are missing out. I've never had better strawberry preserves; though the extra price is a bit steep, these strawberries are evidently special to the UK and they make the most of them! Great with homemade biscuits. Non paid.

I remember as a kid helping my grandmother pick strawberries in the sunshine. We would gather flats of them and store them, still warm from the sun, in the backseat of our Buick station wagon for the trip home. The open windows swirled the intoxicating scent of fresh strawberries all around us. I thought it must be about as close to heaven as you could get. At home we made the berries into jam and placed them in rows on the canning shelf like glittering rubies, waiting for winter when we would open a jar and relive that summer sunshine all over again. My friends, this jam tastes like my memories. As soon as I opened the package I saw the tiny, perfect fruit pieces, suspended as if by magic in mid-air in the jar. Each dollop of jam contains many chunks of real fruit in a bite that makes you close your eyes and whisper to heaven. It's not too sweet and extremely full of strawberries and the flavor of summer. To spread this on my toast on a cold morning with a steaming cup of coffee is bliss. Pure bliss. I have been having an extra piece of toast at night with my tea as a snack, just because I'm looking forward to this jam so much. Eleven dollars for a jar of jam is a little expensive, yes. But it does have to come from England, where these pretty little berries smiled up into the Queen's sunshine and gathered it to bring home to you. And the jars are so adorable and vintage looking that I find myself saving them to store dried flower seeds in, or to gift to neighbors with some homemade scones and a little bouquet of wildflowers. The jam is perfect for gifting and even more perfect for savoring. You're worth $11. Treat yourself. You won't regret it.

La marmellata è squisita, con le fragoline intere dentro... Eccezionale come del resto tutti i prodotti Wilkin & son... Però stavolta devo sottolineare che non solo la consegna è stata perfetta e prima del previsto, ma abbiamo ricevuto pure una sorpresina dal venditore che ha incluso nella confezione una bottiglietta di olio Extra Picual, un olio spagnolo piccantino e molto gustoso... Estremamente colpiti dalla gentilezza! Quindi consiglio assolutamente sia la marmellata, che il cortese venditore... !
