Wooden Decanter Top Stopper Cork (Diameter 3 inches) Replacement for Wine Decanter Carafe - Wood Round Ball Cork (Contains 1)

Bought this to use as a stopper for a carafe. On measuring the aperture I was concerned that the 2 inch version would sink so low that it would be difficult to take hold of/remove so I went for this 3 inch one.It sits high on the carafe and looks big but it seals the opening which is exactly the point.Made from a solid piece of untreated wood - which is starting to look even better with the odd red wine stains it has developed!

Does the job, good fit but could do with a small button or something to get hold of it. My decanter has a deep neck making it fiddling to get out.

Stops the dust getting in my decanter, sits on top so easy to remove.

Pretty much what the title says - they are spherical, but in no way are they spheres. Quite poor quality for the price; at this point I'm not even convinced they are hardwood.Also not made from a single piece but from laminated wood. Attached picture shows what it should be like (red line) versus what it is (blue line).Also 3 inches equate to 76.2 mm - these are about 73mm at the widest, lopsided point.

Somewhat unimpressed that this was not made from a single piece of wood! Spoils to look once waxed up and expensive for s load of offcuts glued together and turned on a lathe. Shame!
