Great Quality
Boat came from factory with Perko knockoffs on it, saltwater and time have worn them all out so needed to replace them all. Perks are much higher quality and feel way better during operation.Just make sure you're getting the correct Cam Bar design for your application!

Looks the same as Whitecap, but not
The brand name on my boat's locking latches is Whitecap. The one on the battery compartment hatch broke when it slammed shut while the striker was in the closed position. It broke the plastic, and the handle and striker popped up out of the assembly.I ordered an identical-looking Perko as a replacement. I was able to swap the lock cylinders, so my latches are all still keyed alike. The internal components on the Whitecap latch are waaay better than on the Perko latch, so I swapped them, too. Metal versus plastic. Two O-rings versus one. Brass pins on the lock cylinder versus steel. Even the springs were more robust on the Whitecap. Unfortunately, they popped out and disappeared after I opened up the assembly.The Perko latch works fine, but the identical-looking Whitecap latch has better internal components.
