Sweet Celebrations: The Art of Decorating Beautiful Cakes

I purchased this book after purchasing the latest book of Sylvia Weinstocks gorgeous cakes titled Sensational Cakes. This book is the prequel and gives additional insight to her personal life, and her passion for cakes. You can see the advances in technique, etc. from this book to the latest. I love how generous she is in both books to share her life, tips and recipes. This book is certainly worth buying, but Sensational Cakes "takes the cake"!

I purchased this book for my daughter who enjoys decorating cakes. This book further stimulated her interests and she is taking classes in cake decorating and is determined to greatly enhance her skill set.Thanks.

I purchased this book for my daughter. She enjoys baking and wanted to learn different techniques in cake decorating. This is a great book for all levels of cake decorators. This step by step book is a must for the beginner baker along with more advanced decorating for the experienced baker. You can't go wrong with this book. Kudos to Sylvia Weinstock for sharing her talents with us in this book.

her works are stunning... i've been following her work since I started cake decorating but if you're new to gumpaste flower making it won't show you how to make the flowers...

This book has pretty cakes for all occassions that if you are willing to do some work making flowers, bows, etc., will walk you through it - Some of the cakes are not my 'cup of tea' but it gave me more info than the Colette books.When I get very motivated, may put the hints how to decorate cakes into action - or may go to the local bakery and buy...but it is a wonderful option for the ambitious cook.

This Book is horrible. I was so eager to get it and when i did i was extremely disappointed. All the cakes are so old and outdatedand nothing is done in fondant. Even the tutorials suck. Theres just some crappy sketches. I'd return it but it probably cost more to shipit back than what i paid for it. Now I know why i got it so cheap from the seller.I read the reviews before i bought this book and i really wish i had listened. Now I know better.DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK. DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK. DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK.I've actually gottan some good advice about cake books. Borrow them from the library first. If you find oneyou really want, then buy it. That way you wont be disappointed like i was with this book.

I gave this book 5 stars for many reasons such as great packaging, quickly shipped, the book was in great condition and the book it self had beautiful pictures and step by step instructions to creating beautiful art work. Amazing recipes with great directions and the results are always beautiful. I loved the book!

Oh my goodness! The recipes in this book are to die for. Sylvia has The Best Spice Cake recipe in here, you've just got to try it. Yummy!!! No wonder she is in such demand, her cakes are fabulous and her flowers, are unbelievable. This is the got to have book if you never get another one.
