The item description of this item is "inaccurate". This paper, as the label attached to the roll states, is made from "recycled" paper. In comparing recycled Kraft paper to a normal roll of 40lb. Kraft paper the recycled paper is thin, and soft like tissue paper. Normal "non-recycled" paper is heavier and has a crisp feel to it. In my opinion, it would be difficult to wrap an item for shipping with this recycled paper and feel confident that the package was securely wrapped. Also, the recycled paper has a definite odor which is produced as a result of the recycling process. The odor was such that I was inclined to store the paper in my garage as opposed to indoors. I returned this item as it did not meet my expectations or needs. The paper is much heavier than newspaper paper. About perfect for wrapping. There was some smell, as noted by another reviewer, but it disappeared a few days after I removed the plastic wrap.I ordered a second roll of this paper about six months after the first roll. The delivery was astoundingly fast. FedEx picked it up a few hours after I placed the order and it was delivered the next day, with standard shipping. I ordered the paper from BoxIt / PrintIt Inergroup Packaging.The paper is brown, like paper bags from the grocery store.

I was looking to use this to wrap Christmas gifts and let my daughter color, paint, and make projects on. I was debating whether to go with 40 lb or 50 lb paper. The 40 lb is great for gift wrapping, however, I will probably go with 50 lb next time(if I ever run out and need to purchase again!) for projects / activities, as I'd prefer something a little more sturdy. All in all it's a great bargain and has endless uses! I didn't notice a terrible smell as some other reviewers noted.

It served its purpose for being a wrapping paper roll and more. I use it as to cover some shipping boxes and stuff. I also use it as a filler or shock absorber. It is thinner than I expected, but no matter as it met most of my expectations.

I bought it to wrap things and shup.the paper is so thin you have to wrap stuff 5 or 6 times to make it secure enough to send stuff through the mail

I bought this as liner for my bird cage. I thought it would be thicker than what I got, so I have to fold it in half. the paper is good for packaging material. And you get a LOT of it for the price. Even having to double up, this roll will last me a couple years.

I love it. It's the right thickness for wrapping paper in case you were wondering! And I'll have this roll for a very, very long time!
