Before applying, I recommend reading the instructions. Reading the instructions gave me a few tips I wouldn't have thought of on my own.As for the spray, I had a few to many carpenter ants all over my deck.I simply applied the spray (as directed) against the clap board siding on the house and wherever else I saw the ants on the deck.2 hours after the repellent had dried 95% of the carpenter ants were gone.This spray is supposed to last a minimum of a month.I'll keep you posted on how long it actually kept the carpenter ants away.Lastly, this ant repellent had absolutely NO fragrance whatsoever.I am happy I chose Terro carpenter ant repellent and would recommend it to a friend.UPDATE it's been one week since I applied the repellent. I'm pleased to note the carpenter ants are completely gone from my deck.

Just spray and ants are gone. Simple.

We use the first can of this after first receiving our order and haven't seen any trace of the carpenter ants that we were having a problem with. Unfortunately, we opened the second can today to apply a backup application and it leaks all around the top when spraying soaking your hand with the contents. I don't mind paying this price for a product that works, but not happy about the product leaking.

This stuff works really well. I like the nozzle which allows you to spray up into a crack or opening and still keep the can in the up right position. I had a shed with signs of Termites. Grant it that I used the whole can, but there are no signs of Termites now. As you may know they drop little hard pellets as a sign of there existence, but not any more. Well pleased!!

I just found my house been attacked by carpenter ants (the big black ants about 1cm long each), they came from different directions outside the yard. I used dozens of different insect control spray, vinegar, detergent for a month, it killed some on the spot but they kept coming back right the way. I found this one from the Amazon, sprayed the foundation around the whole house, the ants disappeared from outside of the house next morning and only found one or two per day for five days found inside the house, now almost a month and no more ants found inside or outside my house.The container will not work properly if you do not shake well before use and hold it straight up, the yellow color chemical foam spray for about 80 feet per container.This product not available at most of the local hardware stores. The price is a little cheaper from Amazon and I received it in couple days

This is the only product that worked to knock out. The aunt colony is around my house and kitchen. There is no scent the bottle does leak only if it’s stored tipped over. Drying time is quick. And is very effective with just a few drops on your windowsill and where you see ants very effective.

I was having a problem with big black ants and I thought they might be carpenter ants as they bite . This spray worked great for whatever kind of ant I had .

This stuff is really toxic according to the instructions.Use it as a last resort.I found it takes 3 or 4 days to kill wood borrers.A bit frustating when you have 20 or 30 drilling holes in your house.Also, application is difficult.You have to put the tube in the hole the bee made and give it a shot.The can needs to be held upright wich requires the tube to be bent up into thebee hole. This requires two hands with no more hands left to hang onto a ladder.Also, you need face protection because the foam can and does blow back in your face.Surface spraying does not seem to work as well or at all.With all that said, the stuff DOES work.It goes a long way if you are just giving a little shot in each hole.I would give it five stars if it were easier to apply and worked faster.

Totally 'user friendly' while absolutely not so for the victims. A termite infestation was outside my experience and so took a bit of research to properly identify.
