Haven't tried the product yet (waiting on my larvae from another company) but I'm very happy with the quality. All of the seams are tight, the zippers seem great, it's a generous size, and it can be used either standing up tall or sideways depending on your preferences. The plastic panel makes it easy to see inside and I haven't detected any kind of smell from it (I'm very sensitive to VOC's). As an added bonus, it comes with a great little booklet and instructions which mention how to ethically use the habitat (ie. not for birds or other animals, and to handle insects with care). This product was obviously designed specifically for butterfly raising. Highly recommend!

The product is great but what I really appreciate is that it comes with a lot of information and instructions about raising & keeping caterpillars/butterflies. They seem to genuinely care that you know how to take good care of the insects and I think that's awesome :)

I bought this for science class. We went in nature with the class and gathered caterpillars and put them inside this net and watched them transform into butterflies. One of our most memorable experience. This rectangle shaped net is so easy to open, it just pops out. Its a fair size, much bigger than i expected. One side has a clear plastic window for easy viewing. The other side are made of mesh. Theres a zipper door to access inside. Theres a loop at the top to hang the butterfly habitat. Definitely worth the purchase. The materials also washes well by hand. It can be used over and over trough out the years.

We have four of these enclosures, all purchased last summer, and look forwarding to using them again this year. Two were nurseries, one was a hatchery, and one acted as temporary housing for freshly hatched monarchs. We discovered a handful of eggs in the garden and purchased these on short notice, though if we had more time something more sustainable may have been purchased or built. Would Recommend. PRO: - the size is decent and they fold up well for storage - they travel well - good air circulation CON: - the clear window is best used as the base because it is the only side that you can clean, if the mesh gets dirty it kind of stays dirty ... - the rounded corners make it awkward at times but certainly not a deal breaker - we used bricks to weigh them down as they are light and prone to blow away if left outdoors (the caterpillars enjoyed making homes on the bricks too!)
