They can be twisted pretty tight and won't tear.
The cloth is doing the job. I would prefer the manufacture not put dye in the cloth. When I clean my cloth after each use, I use bleach water to make sure the cloth is sterile . I use the cloth for straining extracted vegetable juice from vegetables.I left the Blending category unmarked, because I'm not familiar with using cheesecloth for Blending??

I use these for straining cooked fruit to make jelly. They are larger than I expected and strain well.

Works good
This bag is good. Just be careful of the seams. Don’t strain by the seam, place the liquids more at the center of the bag or else u will get chunks of stuff in your bowl.
