Easy Install and works great
The media could not be loaded. Our door is pretty heavy and I wasnt sure which closer would work. This was an easy install and works as expected. My door no longer slams violently and now closes softly. It can be kept opened with an easy push of a button and when you press the door open a bit, it will automatically release and begin to shut.So far it's everything I was looking for. just hope it's durable.

Works well, so far
We have heavy glass storm doors at front and back of our home. They both had pneumatic closers with "slider" stops - where you have to push the door open with one hand, reach up with the other hand, and slide the metal stop along the rod until it touches the closer. My wife found them cumbersome, and I decided to replace the one on the back door when I saw that the metal holder (screwed into the door jamb), was bent and about to break. It took me about 10 mins to replace the failing holder with the new one that comes with this closer, then about 5 more minutes to get the closer installed and working. It's excellent. Open the door to 90 degrees, reach up and push up on the button, release the door, and it stays open at about 85 degrees. To close, just gently push the door to 90 degrees (you'll hear a click as the button releases), let go of the door, and it closes. So the only downside so far (as mentioned by others) is that it doesn't hold open at a full 90 degrees. However, my wife liked it so much that I immediately bought one for the front door. There, nothing was breaking, so it was a 30 second job to pull the two retaining pins, remove the existing closer, replace it with the new one, and re-install the pins. So, definite 5 stars so far. If either of them fails, I'll come back to edit this review, which is being posted in May 2025.

Works as advertised.
I installed the Heavy Touch n'Hold screen door closer on our steel security screen door. My security screen door does not weigh 60lbs, but so far, the door closer is working as advertised. I was even able to adjust it so that the door didn't slam shut the last few inches like my other screen door closer did. Installation was pretty easy, although I read and re-read the instructions several times during installation. The video was somewhat helpful, but it didn't touch on making adjustments. I was a little disappointed with 2 things. First, I had sent an email to the company a few weeks earlier asking about the Heavy door closer on my steel security screen door and never got a reply. I just decided to take a chance on ordering the Heavy model through Amazon after awhile. Secondly, the door no longer swings open a full 90 degrees, more like 75-80 degrees. I am happy with the purchase."Several days later". Touch n' Hold has been very supportive and responsive. I found out that I installed one of the brackets wrong. I didn't follow the instructions closely. Also, I missed seeing the other videos on how to make adjustments. Kudos to Touch n' Hold for being so helpful.

Good Replacement
Worked for me as replacement for a broken closer. Very quick installation and works well.

Quality
This item is an upgrade from old door closure. Easy installation. Closure is quiet and only needs light tap of foot. Highly recommend.

Slams Shut
After installing it and watching more videos apparently it is designed to slam shut. You can adjust it some so it closes slowly but not the closing force the last few inches. Not something I really like. Must say that so far the way that it holds the door open and a light touch to release it is nice.

This one’s very strong it holds the door properly
This one held up better than the first one I had as a matter fact, I’m still using it today. It’s much better than the smaller one.

Did not work properly from the beginning, two heavy units in turn
I bought a "smooth" and a "heavy" version of this unit to suite two different screen doors. The smooth unit worked well upon installation. The adjustment was easy and precise. The heavy unit slammed and could not be adjusted to not slam. It was as though the piston was leaking. I submitted a return and waited for the replacement to arrive. A few days later I was informed that that unit was "undeliverable." A third unit was sent out which I received today. Upon installation and attempts at adjustment it behaved the same as the first heavy unit, uncorrectable slamming. I then removed the smooth version from the other door and installed on the heavy door and it worked perfectly without adjustment. So, I am now returning the third heavy and ordering a second smooth unit that I hope will finish the story.
