We sure are eating a lot more eggs now!
Purchased Oct 20, 2019 -- I've been using since it arrived.Love this little egg cooker. It doesn't take up much space, and it's pretty easy to store. But, to be honest, I just leave it on the counter most of the time, because we use it weekly... 2-3 times a week, on average. I also have a nice OXO egg slicer (worth the price), and I'll often serve sliced boiled eggs as a side to dinner or lunch. We make a lot of egg salad too, and the slicer helps there as well. The buzzer is noticeable, but not as "scary" sounding as my previous egg cooker. Loud enough to be heard in another room, though.I never seem to have any distilled water, so I just use tap water in my cooker. After a couple of uses, there is a brown residue on the metal plate, but I just pour a little vinegar in there (unplugged!) while I'm peeling the eggs, and by the time I'm done, I can just wipe off the vinegar and stains with a paper towel. I follow up with a clean, wet paper towel just to be sure there's no vinegar left.I especially like the built-in egg-piercing pin, and its location. Very handy. Once in a while, I manage to get a hairline crack on the egg, but I go ahead and cook it anyway. A couple of times, I've had the egg white leak from the crack, but it was just as well-cooked as the rest of the egg, so no loss there. If it had been more than a hairline crack, then I probably would have saved it for later use in a recipe or for scrambled eggs. The eggs peel very easily. I can often get the shell off in two pieces, but as long as it's effortless, I'm happy. This is, by far, the easiest (and best) way I've ever had to cook boiled eggs. My Instant Pot isn't even this easy. It's a keeper.

Works well. Easy to load. Cooks fast
Recommended. We've been using this daily for about 3 months now. It works fine and cooks 7 eggs in a batch. You have to be careful to exactly measure the water as a little change in water amount changes the egg hard/soft consistantly quite a bit. Just experiment until you get the hardness you want and then just do that every time.A bit of the raw egg does drip out of the eggs and onto the heat surface so there is some cleaning required. The surface is stainless steel so it is easy to clean but you do have to clean it.The other thing is getting the hang of poking the little pressure relief hole in the eggs. There is a little thumb tack like poker on the egg holder that you have use to poke a small hole in the pointy end before cooking. Obviously if you smash the egg down too hard it will crack the shell. Some store eggs have very thin shells so you will lose one ocassionally like that.Overall it works very well, is simple, takes up very little room and is easy to clean. Recommended.

This is my third attempt to buy egg cooker...
First I bought KRUPS F23070 (2 years ago, 2017. Now out of production) It was very good, but very hard to clean..After it died, i bought second egg cooker, Dash DEC012RD (THE WORST) I used it 4 times, every time i got different results. I missed return window and had to trash it.This is my third attempt "Mueller Rapid Egg Cooker, Hard Boiled Egg Maker with Auto Shut-Off"First what I don't like:A list is short, no ability to turn of power. You have to unplug / plug every time. However this is not major problem, because today you can use smart outlet and defect becomes a future. Now I can say "Alexa, turn on eggs" and it works like a charm. The good things:Easy to cleanevery time I try to cook eggs I get the same result with the same amount of water.ability to use it with Alexa (like I said defect become an option)I am using it for about a month, every day and it works every time

Cooks eggs quickly but has problems
This egg cooker does cook eggs quickly and is fairly easy to use. However, there are problems. The plastic piece that holds the eggs is too flimsy and not meant for jumbo or extra large eggs which is what I use. It was bending from the weight when I took it out to put under cold water in the sink and the hollow cup on the side of the tray is all you have to hold onto and it’s not comfortable to hold. Stability is essential for this part...stainless steel or at least a heavier weight plastic would be better. The bottom area where the water goes is super shiny aluminum but look at my picture of it after one use; using distilled water doesn’t keep it from oxidizing. It does not come off and is very unsightly. The provided measuring cup has printed measurements which determines how long the eggs cook. I filled it to the line indicating hardboiled-for six eggs, but it did not cook the eggs long enough (see picture). The yolk was underdone (for me, maybe others would like it that way). Also, there was water left which tells me it had longer to cook, but since it turns off automatically when the units deems the eggs are done, there is no way to adjust anything to make it cook longer. There are no settings on the unit, it all depends upon the amount of water used, and how accurate the built in sensor/timer is.I chose this over other models because of the fancy stainless steel cover, but instead of that they should’ve upped the quality of the rest of the unit which has the most important parts.Taking into consideration that this cooker is fairly inexpensive I guess it’s okay for the price, but I’m going back to my old-fashioned method of using a pot, which I do have control over!
