Really Helps with Bad Breath and Dental Health—My Cats Love It!
I got this food because I wanted to be more mindful of my cats’ dental health, and I’m so glad I gave it a try. It actually helps reduce plaque and freshens their breath—which I noticed after just a little while of using it! Their teeth look cleaner, and I no longer get that strong “cat breath” smell when they come in for cuddles. The kibble pieces are a bit larger than regular cat food, which I think helps them chew more and keeps them fuller a little longer. I also like that this brand uses quality ingredients, and my cats genuinely seem to enjoy it. They’ve taken to it right away, especially compared to other dental-specific foods we’ve tried.I do wish it was a little more budget-friendly—I’d give it to them exclusively if I could—but for now I alternate it with other foods. Even with switching it up, I’ve still seen a difference in their dental health. If you’re looking for something that actually supports your cat’s teeth and that they’ll actually eat, I highly recommend giving this a shot!

Weight Loss and Clean Teeth
My cat was 18lbs before I changed her to this food. She is a healthy 13lbs now! At first I mixed this food with her usual food to get her to eat it and now she eats it without any issue! The hard food is bigger in size than her regular food and that helps clean their teeth. Overall it seems to be beneficial to her.

5 stars!!!! Cleans your pets teeth!
This food is amazing. We are on our second bag, Nova loves his food and his teeth look amazing. Nova is 10 and has had bad tartar buildup on his top molars, I was very worried. Took him to the vet and they quoted me 2k for a teeth cleaning because the tartar was terrible and they put in a couple extractions, just in case. Well. It's been 2 months of useing this and the tropiclean gel on his molars daily, and the tartar is gone, his teeth look incredible and no evidence of decay. I had his blood work tested a month ago to see if there was any possible infections, but his blood work came back great so I decided to give this food a try before booking his trip to the dentist.I am so glad I did, this food is worth it, along with tropiclean gel.

Pricey, but perfect for various health issues & very picky eater
One of our cats is the ultimate picky eater, I've gone through hundreds upon hundreds of dollars in treats, food, wet food, and so on throughout the years. He turns his nose up at 99% of the things offered to him, including people food. All of our cats are over 7 and starting to slow down a bit, one of them had some kidney concerns, so I went looking for a low phosphorus food that even the picky eater would love. I settled on this brand and then ordered small bags of several flavors. All of the cats went crazy for this one and two other flavors. The oral care flavor has huge kibbles, though, which our oldest cat had trouble with, so we settled on this one with the smaller pyramid kibbles. After a couple months, though, we noticed that none of them were eating as much and often begging for food. I got another small bag of this, and offered it alongside their regular food. The older cat never had trouble with the kibble size again, and every cat in the house would only eat this one when offered both. They stopped begging, and seemed more energetic. We switched to this flavor full-time, even though it's more expensive.Everyone is happier, healthier, and has shinier coats after only a few weeks on this food. Absolute win all around. I do wish it came in the bigger bags the way their other flavors do, and I definitely don't like how much more expensive it is than the other Hill's flavors, but it's worked for all of our needs.

Will continue to purchase
I'm glad I read reviews before purchasing, the kibble pieces in this food are MUCH larger than a regular kibble. This forces the cat to bite into each piece allowing the food to help clean their teeth. My cat was not mine originally. The person I got her from fed her Meow Mix for the first 3 years of her life. It took me a long time to get her off of Meow Mix and used to eating something slightly healthier - we moved to Purina Indoor Advantage. She now LOVES Purina and was very mad when I recently introduced her to Hills Oral Care. I don't know if it's the flavor or the size of the pieces she doesn't enjoy, but it's not her favorite food in the world. She does eat it - begrudgingly. This actually works in my advantage as she's slightly overweight and is on a diet. With her not loving this food, she eats less - putting herself on the diet and keeping her from meowing at me for more food!I will continue to buy this for the sake of her teeth and health, but I feed her a mixture of foods to keep her happy as well.

Pricey yes, but effective
I have a cat who develops plaque readily. Since using this she has been able to go many years without needing a cleaning. Doc told me that this food can't be effective if it can't reach the surface of the teeth. So 1) eating this kept my cat from needing a cleaning for five years when she used to need it annually and 2) its job is to keep the plaque from developing for as long as possible--almost all cats eventually need a scraping unless you're regularly brushing them.N.B.: Fortunately we were able to find a hygienist who does not require anesthesia (for convenience of sonic tools) and saved all the added costs. Vet hygienist just wrapped her in a fuzzy blankie, got in with the people dental tools, and scraped off the plaque. Kitty in and out of there in 20 min. Purring afterward, no trauma. No hours to recover from anesthesia (and signing the form saying I understand she could die from it). Even though she's an older kitty, tech said I could still start brushing her teeth myself if she's wrapped in the blanket. He said just to focus on the molars, start in short attempts, that there's actually plenty of space to get a wee toothbrush inside the cheek. Said that combined with this diet will go a long way.
