I’ve had multiple days that I’ve spent 8+ hrs on the lake and at the end of the day it still has about a 35% charge. I’ve used it on both my 12ft Jon boat and on my 8ft pond prowler as the only motor and it works fantastically. I can’t speak to longevity as I’ve only owned it since May of this year (it’s July as I write this) but so far I’m very impressed my old battery only lasted 4-6hrs this one I’ve gone over 8hrs and the lake I fish is 1700 acres so I spend a lot of time driving yet it still has plenty of charge by the end of my trip. Review: Great battery at a reasonable price - This battery is very heavy but that is what makes it an performance superstar. The denser the battery the longer it performs, I ran a 32" tv and a roku on a 500w inverter the other day when the electricity was off because of a storm for about four hours and when the electricity was restored it only ran the battery down 1%. Granted the tv and roku are not a big electric load in watts I was still impressed with the performance of the battery for the money. I will be testing the battery with heavier loads in the future but for now I'm impressed with the performance for the price. I hear faint sounds of water being sucked by a straw.** A: This is likely the result of using an Unregulated Transformer-Based Charger (a wall wart style charger). The issue with these are that as current output drops voltage increases. So a charger designed to output 13-14 VDC can put out as much as 18 VDC when current output approaches 0 Amps. The result is electrolysis of the water in the Sealed Lead Acid battery. What you hear is gasses being released from the water inside the battery. In small amounts, the battery is designed to recycle the gasses. Excessive charging like this can destroy the battery. Consider a better controller which regulates voltage to preserve the life of your battery. **Q: What kind of hardware do I need to connect to the post of this battery?** A: I’m using my battery for my travel trailer, so I threaded the holes to except a 3/8 bolt so I could hook the eyelet battery cables to the post. However, my house batteries keep draining over time. Not sure how this all works and if manufacturer used plain ole lead acid batteries originally that matched engine battery, but my AGMs last 1-2 yrs at most currently. Have to check it out, why that is happening. I need to totally disconnect engine from house batteries and get a small solar panel to keep engine battery charged up. I want zero contact between the two systems. There are 4 red lights on my battery check and after a night of lights, TV, computer, etc., my older batteries would show 3 or 2 red lights. I couldn't believe the Mighty Max. It showed 4 red lights consistently. I drive everyday and recharge the battery. It did drop to 3 lights a few times when we watch more TV but not many for the 4 week trip we were recently on.
