Texas History for Kids: Lone Star Lives and Legends, with 21 Activities (57) (For Kids series)

My grandson is being homeschooled and in the 4th grade which is Texas history. He loves the book and has been telling me all about it.

This book says grades 3-6 but the projects reflect lower elementary. Great concept, though.

Well made. Quality book.However....This is an activity book. Make no mistake. This is NOT a history book. I was looking for a Texas history book. That is not what I got. It was advertised as a history book with activities along the way. It is activities (great, very well done and involved activities) with a little, tiny bit of history sprinkled in.I will keep it to use the activities with whatever history book I do decide to use but this is not sufficient to teach my kids about Texas history 😕

Works well with a unit study. Also has science projects.

Really nice book, but I don't think it's for kids. Maybe teens! My kids were bored to tears with half a page.

Struggled thru some sections with errors and some spelling issues as well as a lack of flow in some sections. Not a unbiased treatment of Texas history definitely colored by the authors leanings.
