Polar FT1 Heart Rate Monitor - Black

I have read about other heart rate monitors that also gives calories burned reading so it makes me a little biased when i received this one and it did not have that feature... otherwise works great. i use it all the time and it serves its purpose but i wish it also had calories burned feature.

Setup is not user friendly.After setup is complete - easy to use as heart rate monitor.Does a good job as a heart rate monitor.

It has all I need it, just check my heart rate ando no more, and in a excellent price. Im from Mexico and I saw this here in something like $80US so I prefered to order it from here. Excellent, simple and useful, no more, no less

The user guide instructions for set-up were not clear at all, making the monitor impossible to use. The seller prints on the package (molded plastic) that returns are not accepted once opened. Well, how do you know it won't work until it's opened? This was a bad buy.

Simply didnt work. Read the manual and online suggestions. Tried everything: moved wrist band closer to unit, more water, less water, reset unit, reposition transmitter, etc, etc. Still no apparent connection between monitor and display unit. Will have to return.

Has all the basic functionality needed. Not any bells or whistles, but is a solid product. It is a good value.

When it arrived, it didn't work. I was able to online chat with a rep from Polar however. She was very nice and sent me a return label. The product was returned with new parts at no cost to me.

It works great for my basic needs, which is just to monitor my heart rate while I'm on the elliptical at the gym.Since it's awkward to raise my wrist to check my rate, I usually leave the watch resting somewhere on the elliptical machine where I can read it easily. It would be perfect to have the watch face magnetized or on a clip so that I could attach it to the machine, but that would be a different product, wouldn't it?
