90 deg problem fixed.
I love WEN tools, but for some reason the quality control on this one was not up to par according to other reviewers, and my own experience. The biggest complaint is around things being misaligned, not square, or just sloppy finishing. The only problem I had was the blade to base plate 90 deg problem. I did fix it, but it took new parts, and a small amount of grinding on my part. The problem that I finally figured out, was that the forward bevel knob would not let the plate come all the way down to make a true plate to blade 90 deg, so I tossed the knob and made my own which involved a hex head bolt which I ground down two opposite sides so it would fit in the hole with two tangs to hold it in place. I then use a threaded hex stand off, washer, and lock washer to finish the assy. (See photos) By getting rid of the clumsy orange knob, I was able to bring the base plate all the way down (you have to also loosen the depth knob), and it also gave more space in the area. The saw cut through 2x4's with no problem.

Won’t take up too much storage space
I’m worried because the manufacturer packaging has been opened previously. When I buy new higher priced merchandise I like for it to be unopened when possible. Full review after I unbox and use the saw.UPDATE: It works well enough for small tasks like making shelves. I’m pleased with the product.

Works great, even for a lighter approach to heavier tasks
Used this to get a good, clean cut on a butcher block countertop. Everything went fine until the saw just stopped progressing. It still ran, but it felt like something was snagging preventing it from moving farther. Couldn't figure out why.Used it for a few other projects and the same thing happened. FINALLY I figured it out. It comes with a 24t blade, which is rather coarse, but still makes a nice clean cut when it's working. What was happening is that too fast a cut with such a coarse blade puts a bigger load on the saw. The drive shaft on the saw has two flats to locate and drive the retention washer, BUT NOT THE BLADE. And the blade retention screw was only snug. So when the going got tough, the blade stopped but the drive shaft didn't. I tightened the blade screw (left hand thread) and it worked fine. It's not for heavy-duty work, but now it's my go-to circular aw even for heavier tasks because it's easier and more maneuverable to use. It just takes a lighter touch. All the accessories work well, with the exception that the vacuum attachment could work better.

Cant make blade 90 degrees (i.e. 0 deg bevel). 14 days without response from customer support
REVIEW UPDATE: It took a while but WEN sent a replacement, no questions asked. Unfortunately, the replacement didn't help. It seems this is a fundamental design issue. I changed from 2 to 3 stars based on: quick, no questions asked replacement; and how cheap this product is.Do NOT buy this product IF you need to get cuts that are exactly 90 degrees or within roughly 2 degrees. If you don't care about that, then it's ok.--------------Like the title says, the blade couldn't be set at 90 degrees (i.e. 0 degrees bevel). Everything else about it was ok, but this flaw renders it completely useless to me. I tried everything and spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out a way to fix it. I contacted customer support. It's been 2 weeks with absolutely no response at all.

Don't over look this steal if a deal
I'm a professional carpenter and I'm not a huge fan of Wen tools. However they hit the mark and raised the bar with this one. This tool comfortablely gives the user total control. This has become my go to saw for making precision cuts. This saw is a total game changer and a steal of a deal.
