I was a bit skeptical about other 5 Star reviews saying the Calf Sleeves worked wonders or magic for their current circumstance(s), but after having tried them, I have to admit they are everything those reviewers claimed them to be. There are an overwhelming number of people also saying they were too tight. Outside of measuring their calves wrong or receiving the wrong size, they are supposed to be tight. Calves are an extremely strong muscle in the leg (your mileage may vary) and to treat or prevent an injury by way of support, a tight/snug fit is necessary. For those not sure which sizes to get, the rule of thumb I used was if your size is the low-end to somewhere in the middle (i.e. 15 or 16) and the size (for the sleeve) reads (15-17) get that size. However if your size is on the high end, consider going up a size unless you aim for ultra-snug (which may be perfect for you). I ruptured an Achilles tendon a number of years ago and although I am not a doctor, I believe wearing these may have helped prevent that from happening. The compression and heat these generate/retain are a good combination that keep my calves from tightening up. I truly regret not knowing about these sooner. Finally, for those reviewers giving less stars because of a mistake YOU made (you KNOW who you are), come on now! You shouldn't post that the product works as advertised yet ding it because you didn't follow the CLEAR directions provided. I read reviews... A lot of people however, look only at stars... Your unfair deduction(s) can have a negative impact/influence on potential buyers as well as an undeserved barrier for the seller.

great for what it is, firm pressure that adds support around front back and sides of this area of the leg, i suffered from a previous fracture to my tibial plateau, weak quads ensued post knee scope, this helped take some of the stress off my muscles and aided in recovery. it actually reduced overuse pain. ive worn it asleep, during the day, and playing sports (hockey) no issues.

First off, I measured my calf and came up with 14.75. Typical for me in that a medium is somewhat small and a large is usually too big. Read the reviews and a major complaint of this product was that it runs small. Was thinking that's perfect for me and went with the large. Received it today and tried in on. It went on a bit too easy for a compression product. Was a perfect fit but thought to myself that I should have ordered the medium, its not tight enough and won't do the job. I have been experiencing calf pain playing tennis for the past two weeks. Well, I trained for a hard 90 minutes with the sleeve on today and had no pain whatsoever. This product seems to do its job and I am pleased with how it performed. Would recommend.

I bought three different calf compression sleeves. This is by far the best. It's firm but comfortable. It is more aggressively calf-shaped due to the stitched two-piece design, which fits my injured calf (I'm pretty muscular) much better than the once-piece-of-neoprene design that characterizes most of the competitors.

After starting exercising and running/jogging, I developed a pain in my shins, and the back of my calfs.. My dr, and trainer recommended that I try a sleeve first before going into debt with a specialist... So I bought 2, one for each leg...... Others have complained about the sizing, They need to be snug.. flat out.. or they will not work...... Anyways, i got them, AFTER going to the gym.. so I slipped one on.. ( make sure your leg is dry though..) and INSTANT relief... I cant wait to try them out running tomorrow... Defintley get a measurement around the thickest part of your calf.. and go from there.. and make sure you do it while standing.. not with it kinda hanging.. it can throw a measurement off big time.. my measurement were 16 1/2 and I went for a large..( and yes im a girl) the large was snug, and I loved it... Seriously.. even if this fails at helping during running.. id only drop it down to 4 stars because of the instant relief I felt after I put it on...

I strained my calf muscle and was unable to walk for several days and had to use crutches. Once I was able to place my weight onto my leg I put this support on my calf and within a week I had significant relief and was able to walk without the brace. Would purchase again and for strains and minor tears. This should be beneficial.

Love it! Can’t exercise without it!

Use this and a knee pad on the leg I land on prominently when sliding. Combination works great. Finally, something to keep my years and years worth of torn up scar tissue safe. Also good for tattoo preservation if you are inked the heck up like me. Knee and shin scar gang stand up!!!

Es un producto con la calidad habitual de McDavid, resistente, efectivo y bien acabado. Como pega puedo decir que huele mucho a neopreno, pero cuando lo compras lo asumes. Calientan de maravilla, la sujeción es buena y no se mueve durante la práctica deportiva (basket en mi caso). Eso sí, termina empapada ya que no absorbe el sudor al ser neopreno. Es justo lo que buscaba para ayudar a evitar las roturas de fibras en el gemelo durante el invierno.

I am a daily runner and sometimes i tend to over due it. Lately my calf muscles did hurt a lot on my right leg so I bought this handy bandage and after few days of wearing it while maintaining my exercise routine the pain got smaller and smaller until i got to the point it fully vanished. It's a good quality bandage that did help me speed my recovery so from my personal experience i can recommend it.
