Very good, but could be better
My Wayfarer glasses are difficult to keep from sliding due to the thickness of the temple pieces. They can't be bent to shape around the ear as some other models. The solution is to use a retainer system. These work well, but the opening is a bit too narrow to fit perfectly. It takes some pressure to slip them over the thick ends of the Wayfarers. As a result, after wearing them for several months, they eventually split from the tension and need to be replaced. However, as they are not expensive, I just order new retainers and slip them on. I also use them on my sport glasses and they work very well. I just wish they came in different sizes to use with different glasses.

MY GLASSES STAY IN PLACE!!! Why didn't I have this in 1996???
These retainers are quite amazing. I was a bit skeptical at first. Little rubber stems... my heavy glasses... my slippery nose bridge... No way! I was wrong. In fact, I only use one!Years ago I stopped wearing larger framed glasses because my heavy prescription would keep them sliding away from my eyes and thus made me constantly push them up so I could see properly. Recently, I went back to a more stylish (or so I hope) heavier frame and when my prescription went in, the sliding glasses came back! My wife found this retainer system and I had them express shipped. When I got them, I said, "Oh, these little things are a joke! They won't help and they'll never even slide over the end of my earpiece!" I was wrong on all counts. When you get them, you'll see that the earpiece hole is tiny - don't panic! Take your time and slowly slide them over your earpiece - they will stretch, just don't push too hard and rip them, it will take about 60-90 seconds to get them where you want them. The rubber arm gently rests against the back of your ear and you'll have to move them a bit to get them where you want for comfort and you'll get used to them in about a week. Putting your glasses on will be a bit different from what you're used to, you'll have to flip the rubber arm back when you put them on, and it took me about two weeks before my "putting on" technique flowed smoothly. The rubber arm holds the glasses in place quite well and you can tweak their position to align your glasses for where ever you want them on your face. These are simply amazing. Be prepared to say good bye to sliding glasses forever!!!

Better than nothing, less comfort than some
This retainer system for glasses works well enough. Getting them on the ends of the frame is a bit of a challenge, but when you get them on, they stay put. They are made of rubber, and they hook behind your ears to hold your glasses in place so they don't slide around, or slide off when you look down. It is not obvious how they should go on, but you can put them on and take them off and move them around until you find what works for you. They are pretty rugged and seem to last a long time, but I stopped using these. This is because they get caught in my hair a lot, and also they are hard to adjust so that they don't irritate your ears when you wear them for a long time. It was hard to find a position for these that would allow me to not have to re-adjust them occasionally due to them becoming uncomfortable. They are better than nothing, but I am now wearing Wedgeez and I prefer those to these.

very happy with the fit of these
I use these on the glasses that I wear all day and love them. They keep my glasses from falling off my face, without having to have the glasses adjusted to pinch in on the sides of my head or against my face. They are made of a relatively soft rubber, with pre-marked places you can use to trim them shorter, so they don't extend as far down the back of your ear. The hole that you put the eyeglass is very tight (probably not quite small enough to be tight on thin wire frames) so it's a little difficult to slide it on, but once it's on, it stays put very well. I recommend them.It took me a short time to get used to the feel of them, but the ability to adjust them back and forth on the frame helps tremendously. They're also cheap enough that I can afford to cut them too short, lose them, or whatever, and just get another pair. I did need a new pair for my glasses after using them continuously for almost two years because the hole stretched and they became loose, but I tended to fuss with them a lot, moving them back and forth from the thin part of my eyeglass frame to the thick part, which I think contributed to the hole stretching.

Exactly what I need for my sunglasses
I have a pair of not-cheap sunglasses that I wear while sailing, and which I'd love not to lose overboard. These glasses have no curve at the ends of their earpieces, so until now I have been using neoprene Croakies to keep them on my head or otherwise attached to me. Those Croakies were not ideal because they made the earpiece much thicker where they fit over the ends of the earpieces, making the sunglasses sit higher on my ears than they should, and pushing them down over my nose. These ear lock retainers are an excellent solution. These soft rubber pieces slide easily and perfectly over the ends of the earpieces and stay securely where you position them. There's a slight adjustment you have to make to putting on the glasses with these ear locks on -- you have to lift them over the backs of your ears rather than just pushing your glasses straight back on your face. But that is a minor issue that's well worth the security these ear grips give you. They are light and comfortable, and sit naturally behind the ears. Once the glasses are on, I can't feel them at all. The ear locks hold my glasses firmly without shifting even if I shake my head vigorously. Best of all there are no cords to catch on clothing or boat parts! I'm very happy with this item.

Keep a stock!
These last for some time, however, keep a few handy. If you leave your glasses on to take on or off overhead clothing, (or any other activity that may disturb your glasses) these easily fall off and disappear, end up in the washing machine, dog chews them like bubble gum, etc. Point is, they are small and if you use them regularly, order more than one. They are discreet and can be cut to size smaller if they stick out from your ear. This particular earlock is my preferred choice for wire framed glasses, it's the only one small enough to grip and hold. It will also stretch to fit larger glasses.
