My, My, My.....
Oh my, my my.... there are so many books and so little time. Which is the one and only excuse I have for waiting so long before picking up any of Sherrilyn Kenyon's books. Never fear though, that situation has been remedied. I am now totally on board the Dark-Hunter train, no worriesIt's no secret that any book that has any connection whatsoever to mythology will immediately get my interest. Fantasy Lover is loaded with mythology. It's also loaded with tortured and broken characters and loads of romance. Is it any wonder that I had a hard time putting this one down? There was a lot more to Fantasy Lover than just romance and a curse to break. The characters had depth and wit and there were so many quote worthy moments in this book it would be hard to pick them out. There were also touching moments. Not that there weren't times that I wanted to give either Grace or Julian a `time out' but that's normal in any romance that involves characters with low self esteem. I know, it's crazy that a mythological son of Aphrodite could have low self esteem, but Julian does and those moments just about crush them both.Grace doesn't feel like she deserves someone as swoon-worthy as Julian and Julian doesn't think that anyone, including Grace can really ever love him for the real `him.' Then there's the curse, which seems to be unbreakable. What these characters go through fighting to get beyond everything in their past and hang on to each other makes for quite and amazing story. A story, that yes, included tears. *sigh*The supporting characters added to the fun of this book and I can't wait to get to see what Sherrilyn Kenyon has in store for readers when the actual Dark Hunters are introduced. The next book in the series is Night Pleasures and features Kyrian of Thrace, who was introduced in Fantasy Lover in a round about way. This series has been around for a while, which is lucky for me because that means I don't have to wait long to pick each book up. Sometimes procrastination has its benefits;)

Loved it
I've been told by many people that I should read this book and I knew I should I bought it forever ago and just let it sit. I love Sherrilyn Kenyon but with so many books on my TBR pile I put this off. Lately I have been on a Paranormal Romance kick and these books/series kept coming back to my mind so I finally picked them up. Boy am I kicking myself I loved this book it was so fascinating and the depth of the the information about Greek mythology in this book was fascinating to me. I was never board reading this book. Once I picked it up I didn't want to put it down till I was finished and then I was sad that Julian and Grace's story was finished. I'm not normally into mythology but the way that Sherrilyn Kenyon wrote it I was stuck till the last page.Julian was cursed in a book after wronging a god now he is only free when a woman calls on him and only for a month as her sex slave. Julian has stopped living and only exists he does what he is forced to do and only knows pain and loneliness. On Grace's birthday her eccentric friend has the perfect gift for Grace when she found Julian's book she knew he was just what Grace needed. When Julian is free'd Grace is shocked and even though she is attracted to Julian she knows what it's like to be used so she can't be the one to use Julian. As Julian and Grace spend there month together they fight their feeling for the other knowing that they have no future. But Grace may be the person who is finally able to brake Julian's curse except it won't be easy but nothing is when you wrong a god. Julian and Grace see that even if they can break the curse their love may not keep them together.Loved this book is was great from beginning to end. Sherrilyn Kenyon is brilliant she swept me into this story and I didn't want to leave. I loved Julian and Grace, ok I really loved Julian. But not only did I love them I loved all of the side stories and back stories and the obvious time Mrs. Kenyon put into writing this book not only great but accurate. I highly recommend this book and this series. Now I'm off to pick upand keep reading book two.

Couldn't put it down
I started reading this series around a decade or less ago and remember enjoying it. Having picked up this genre again, I remember Kenyon being a fantastic writer and these books being sexy but complex.I love the mix of action, mystery, history and its basis of being a love story. Kenyon is in my top 3 authors for this genre and re-reading book 1 was surreal.I read this book in under a day, with a fever as I couldn't get enough of the story which Kenyon tells with such depth and likeness for her characters.Amazing and would recommend.

What an enjoyable read
I greatly enjoyed the flow of the book. I thought that the constant back and forth of 'should I stay or should I go' would get old and annoying, but it was just the right amount of angst to move the story along. Your description of Julian was spot on. Grace's reactions to him were spot on!! I enjoyed the premise and stayed up late to see what happened next! I'm looking forward to reading more of your work! Thank you so much for such an incredible work! 😁😁😁

This was a slow read for me there's a lot of word building n world setting up in this book it's extremely slow burn but 100% worth the wait. As is true to this author they eventually get a happy ending but the ride to get there is a long n emotional one
