Very RED
Thought this would be perfect. For me Walnut is a little bit on the yellow side so I thought the rust walnut would add just enough red to make it a warm looking walnut color. That was not the case it was darn Right red. Will use the walnut instead. Using it on a 1022 Ruger stock.

The best for a high quality, rich finish most wood projects.
The best for obtaining a high quality finish on wood rifle stocks and other wood projects. Don't leave the cap off for to long or it will skin over and can form clumps. I avoid this by poking a tiny hole in the seal under the cap and squirt a small amount into a plastic 1oz. medicine cup to work with ( available from Amazon very low priced for a pack of 100 ). Then you can put the cap right back on & store the Tru-Oil bottle upside down for maximum lifespan.

Red. Really red.
This is typical Birchwood Casey quality, but much redder than I expected. For my purposes I will have to add a slight amount of brown and black dyes. Of course it all depends on what you are after. And changing it a bit is straightforward enough.

Birchwood Casey Rusty Walnut Stain
This stuff is great! I had tried a different stain prior and ended up having to redo the work. The ability of this stain to quickly and EVENLY penetrate the wood is excellent and leaves a beautiful color. I wanted a walnut color but preferred a deep red/orange tint and this was perfect for my old hickory gunstock. It's water based so raises the grain a bit but a follow up with the Birchwood Casey Sealer/Filler worked great. I'd definately use this product again. The entire Birchwood Casey line will not disappoint you.

Less is more
Excellent product!! Using it on a Yugo SKS. First off, beware this is concentrate. I didn't know this and bought 2. More stain than I'll use in a lifetime, but, it was only $14. 50/50, BC to water, on 1st 2 coats. Then, 3 to 1 on next 2 coats. Color I wanted was perfect.
