Great Bag for 15" Macbook Pro w/Retina Display
Product arrived yesterday, so this is a first impression review.First off, WHEW! There is some serious chemical smell with this bag. I would say if the Michelin Man were to fart 4 truck tires this would be the result. Aired it out over night and drive in to work with the windows down to try to cut through the haze. I know that in a few days it will begin to dissipate and get better.....Hmmm but then WWI mustard gas is still found in some of the trenches. The shoulder strap is a little thin and light material, BUT used metal/chrome connectors, unlike some that may use plastic. The connectors on the bag itself are also a metal/chrome material. The bag itself seems to be quite nice. Both zippers worked perfectly. The outside "compartment" is like neoprene, and will stretch to accommodate smaller items that you may shove in there. If you put the power brick there, like another reviewer noted, you will get an "unsightly bulge", nuff said on that one ;-)In side there is a main compartment in the top along with two smaller half sized compartments. The half sized are perfect fits for the superdrive, or external hard drives that are of that width/slim. The rear is capable of fitting some files or reports, a few cables etc. And again, just like another reviewer noted, none of the compartments have a way to secure them, i.e.. they are always open and may be prone to dumping stuff out.The compartment for the macbook is spot on. Has some small nibblets on the bottom to give the computer some cushioning. The single strap that holds the macbook in is "fixed" so you have to slide it under that strap to secure it. BUT its a nice snug fit. I am using this bag in conjunction with the iPearl mCover. Seems like a great matchup for now.It may sound like I am very negative about this bag BUT am not. for the price it is exactly what I was looking for. Compact, slim, and not overly loaded with pockets, zippers, and flaps. Grab and go! Gives my macbook a little extra bump protection and piece of mind......Now if I can just walk a little faster than the new stink it gives off ;-)

Good product for price, but has some issues.
This is a pretty good case for the money. It is very low-key and doesn't stand out much, so if that's your taste then it is great. I suspect that is could keep my laptop safe from carrying height pretty easily, although I'm not about to test it. I would suggesting getting an iPearl case to go with this as well as an added layer of protection. The issues come in with the pockets. They are secured by elastic bands going across the top of the pockets themselves, and as others have mentioned, things inside of these tend to slip out. Also, thicker things like an external hard drive seem to push another the laptop when closing it up, which I don't like, although it probably isn't causing any damage. I would recommend keeping only papers and things like that in the inside pockets. The outside pocket is a bit better to store stuff in, and can accommodate my A/C adapter and extension cable rather easily. All in all, you get what you pay for. If you are looking to store other gadgets and accessories with your rMBP, i recommend you get something else. Otherwise, this is a decent case for the price.

Mac Pro Retina WINNER - almost
For those who've made the financial leap into Apple's flagship notebook, this is the case to safely carry it around in. It's also got style. The reason we ALL buy this dream machine is because we want power yet reasonable portability. This bag finishes this goal quite nicely except for one proviso - carrying the A/C plug isn't quite perfect. While there's just enough room inside the zippered and padded interior for the Mac. there will be a slight bulge for those who consider esthetic appeal important when also carrying the power supply. For those who travel by air, getting through security will be a breeze thanks to the easy to access interior. Since the best way to prevent accidental breakage to any item you're shipping or carrying around is by keeping the item snug yet padded, this case accomplishes both goals perfectly. The hardware is VERY stylish yet well made for the shoulder strap. This bag just might make us rethink how much we carry around our Mac Retina thanks to bag + A/C supply + notebook still coming in under five pounds.

Affordable & durable
It's got a hard shell that protects the computer, which is really what I was looking for here. My main purpose for this case was something that keeps my computer well protected when taking it outside the house. The Macbook Pro 15" retina fits fine.I'm giving it 4 stars because it accomplished what I wanted for a good price.Negatives - There is an elastic strap that holds the computer, which makes it difficult to take out super quickly. You have to open the case all the way open, rather than just zipping open the top. This could be avoided by just putting the computer over the strap, but I like it being a bit more secure. It's not form fit for the Macbook Pro 15" retna, so there could be a little sipping inside the case.I only leave my house with the computer about 1-2x per month so I don't really use it that much.
