Soho Mexican Chocolate Chili Hot Chocolate Pods for Keurig K-Cup Brewers, 40 Count

I just received the order today and thus my rating is based on the mislabeled description.. My first impression is that the sample pack described is not the same as I received. There is no ( ()) Mexican Chilli. The amount of each variety is different than what is described. The names of each flavor are different than those in the description (dark passion vs. dark chocolate, caramel drizzle vs. salted caramel, etc) so, I don't know they are the same flavors. I've seen the manufacturer's answer to a previous complaint ( they don't always have a particular flavor in stock). That is an unacceptable answer. You don't advertise something you cannot deliver if you are a competent manager. The real test will be when I taste what was delivered.

I didn't pay much attention to the ingredients list before ordering as these are not listed as "low calorie" or "low in sugar" products.*EVERY FLAVOR THEY MAKE* contains aspartame! I absolutely dislike the taste and aftertaste of this artificial sweetener.After a few cups of the cherry and raspberry I kept thinking there was an "off" flavor somewhere but couldn't quite place it - until I took a closer look at the ingredient lists. As soon as I saw aspartame I knew what it was what I was tasting that was throwing off the flavor of the product.After a bit of research I discovered artificial sweeteners are in almost all hot chocolate and flavored K-Cup products though most contain sucralose which does not have that "whang" of aspartame. That means going forward that I'll be looking far more closely at ingredients for these products.Should SOHO Cocoa products switch to sucralose I'll reconsider them for a purchase. Until then, this brand is off my acceptable purchase list.

I’m docking some stars for this because the photo and description for the variety pack shows 7 flavors and I only received 6. I am missing the Mexican chili which was one I really was looking forward to try. I got 8 of raspberry, 8 of this cherry and only five of the dark passion. I counted and they easily could have taken two off the cherry/raspberry and one off the caramel (I got 7 caramel) to give me 5 Mexican chili. It also could have given me 6-7 of the dark passion instead of the flavored ones. I’m not even sure I’ll enjoy cherry (I probably won’t as I hate cherry flavored drinks) which wouldn’t have been a big deal...but now I’m going to donate half of these to try the flavors I wanted minus one. I wanted to try the dark passion, mint, raspberry, chocolate truffle and the Mexican chili. But I have 0 Mexican chili as you can see in the photo. I won’t return these but I won’t buy the variety pack again and likely will try someone else. I don’t appreciate false advertising of products on any website and I really feel like I got excluded from the experience of a flavor I was looking forward to trying.

This is good cocoa. I would have given it 5 stars if I had liked all the flavors.The Cherry Cordial - YUMMM This truly tastes just like a chocolate covered cherry. This flavor was my favorite of the bunch.Dark Chocolate - really good chocolate flavorChocolate truffle - Not really a true truffle flavor, but I think they wanted to call it something that just "milk chocolate" - it's good though.Mint - Nope. I love mint cocoa, but this one is just weird. I gave all of them away.Molten Raspberry - I wanted to like this one because I like raspberry cocoa, but this one was just too much raspberry. So if you like a lot of raspberry, you will love this one.Caramel drizzle - this one is good. Delicious.I brew a kcup of decaf coffee and then brew one of these cocoa pods in the same cup on top of it to flavor my coffee without additional creamer or sugary additions. These use aspartame, which I am grateful for, because Splenda gives me migraines. Now I can have my flavored coffee without a ton of sweetener. I also enjoy the cocoa as is. It is delicious.

So I do like the flavor of these however I am unable to get the machine to work well with them. Consistently they water gets backed up in them and the machine turns off so I have to manually make them. We even upgraded our machine thinking that was the issue but the better machine had the same problem, but this did not happen with other brands of K cups. So will not buy again because cannot use them in the machine.

I do not know if this shows up for each individual cocoa or not for it appears on my end to be more of a collective review of all the cocoa flavors so I will tell you our thoughts on each one here. The Caramel Drizzle cocoa has just a hint of caramel and does not over power the chocolate flavor, The Dark Passion cocoa has a deep rich dark chocolate flavor, but the Chocolate Truffle cocoa to us is by far the best it has a rich creamy chocolate flavor. They all work in our Keurig coffee maker. I do run a cycle of just water thru it once I have made the cocoa to help prevent stickiness from the sweetner. We will be reordering these cocoas again. I hope to try the Cherry Cordial soon but do not want to take a chance we may not like it to buy the only one available, which is the 100 count, right now.

I bought this because I’ve had soho chocolate in other variety packs and I loved it. I still love this one. The flavor is Great. It functions well with my Keurig. Hardly ever clogs. My complaint is I didn’t get all the varieties. I received 1 dark chocolate and 2 raspberry and the rest were caramel, mint and chocolate. Not a single cherry or Mexican cocoa. Big bummer. I was looking forward to those. I knew I might not get an even mix, but I thought I would ar least get some of all of them. Not a huge deal, just a letdown

I don't often rate food, but most of my office is now addicted to this brown liquid crack in a cup. I haven't figured out yet what Soho intends to do with all of us mindless drones now that we're addicted. Something evil I suppose. But as long as they keep tossing us little delicious cups it can't be too bad, can it? Can it?
