Review: A fantastic spin-off for a fantastic series! - This is not the AoT you know and love; it's a much more lighthearted spin-off that got more than a few laughs out of me. In a nutshell, the protagonist Eren enters Junior High but has difficulty when he encounters the Titans, who also go to their own school. Although it is at first bizarre to see the Titans (especially the infamous one that we see in the first episode of the original series) rocking out on stage or sitting in desks, the light-natured atmosphere ultimately puts them in a different (and hilarious light). There are also many parallels to events from the original series, like Eren's disdain for Titans from an event five years ago and the formation of a school "Survey Club" to push out the Titans, among others that will be apparent to the diehard AoT fan. I have to commend the English language team behind this spinoff as there are many Western cultural influences (Watch out for a Tobey Maguire and Fox News reference, both of which I never thought I'd see in an AoT manga). And look out for when Hanji comes into the story and how they deal with the whole gender controversy. Not to mention a slightly scathing critique on the school system that is actually fairly relevant. Much kudos to Kodansha USA. Junior High contains two volumes' worth of the original Japanese manga, so it comes at a staggering 300+ pages of levity that is sure to be a delight to fans of the heavy Aot anime/manga. This is quite the deal money-wise and it is just pure fun, so I'd definitely recommend it. Review: Awesome spin-off. - I felt it as a comical way of looking at Attack On Titan. There's no serious aspects to it what so ever, so it's nice to see the characters facing comical situations from the their full personality instead of seeing full dread and despair like from the original manga of Attack On Titan. So really, it's good for Attack On Titan fans, not people starting out the series. If you wanna get into Attack On Titan. I suggest getting the first 3 or 4 volumes of the original (to get to know the characters), then starting this awesome spin-off series that I hope does very well.

A Fun, Light-Hearted Take on An Amazing Series with your Favorite Characters
I love the Attack on Titan series, especially the characters. Attack on Titan: Junior High presents all of your favorite characters from the original series and places them in the setting of a Junior High environment, in which they are forced to attend the same school as the Titans. The series contains a bunch of pop culture references as well as placing a fun spin on the characters from the original series. It's humorous and a fun read and great for any Attack on Titan fan.

AOT with a slapstick twist!
This is a book that should be taken lightly, very lightly.. down to the food gags that is Sasha, all the way to the jelous and defensive Mikasa. It's all in good fun when it's all said and done but it does have its "flaws". For one, the content inside the pages are literally drowning into the binding, so it's hard to read at times (the center is fine since It's divided.) The characters that ARE interesting get minimal chapters or lines. I would have liked to see more on Levi, Ymir & Historia, the "love triangle" between Eren, Annie & Mikasa. Armin seems to vanish after his introduction chapter & the Titans, I felt they could have been thrown into more bizarre situations (I'm sorry but a Titan studying isn't much of a wow factor.) But Titans buying a pervy mag and hiding in the bathroom to sneak a peek is! Overall great read, fantastic art and a fine presentation to this new spin off!

This may be my guiltiest pleasure ever. 300 pages of utter nonsense that is as wonderful as it is strange. Wasn't sure what to think of it at first, being a big fan of the AOT manga series, but it is BRILLIANT! Would super recommend to AOT fans with a strange yet silly sense of humour
