These are junk. I had to get a replacement after the first one worked for only a day. Then the second one did the same thing

Got this for my wife's car, and overall, we are very happy with it.... The picture is crystal clear, even at night.... Granted, the IR vision leaves a lot to be desired, but it's not like we're going hunting with it.... It's a backup camera.... For when she's going in reverse..... Night vision is a non issue for those 15-30 seconds it takes to back out of the parking spot..... But as you can see in the picture, it's not even really necessary as most parking lots are fairly well lit..... Installation was straightforward, since this was a replacement for the junk camera that came with her stereo (or at least it would have been if I had used the license plate mounting hardware, but she drives a Ford Escape, and it would've been a real PITA to run the wiring through the liftgate to reach the plates..... So I used my trusty Dremel to flush mount the camera in the bumper, just above the hitch receiver ((see pic))Our only complaint, is that twice now the camera has just stopped working.... The first time was only for a couple hours, and it righted itself...... but this past weekend, it stopped working for a few days.... Thursday night, it just didn't come on when I was backing out of the driveway, and it didn't come on again until yesterday morning! I went through and checked all the connections, settings, etc, and everything was as it should be.... Just no picture.... The stereo just acted like "what camera?"..... As confusing as this is, I don't think, at this price point, it's a major detractor..... I wouldn't mind speaking with one of their techs about it, though, because I'm hoping they were isolated issues, but if not...............All in all, if you're on the fence about it, you should just pull the trigger..... It's a good camera, and like I said.... How much time do you really spend in reverse, anyway?Just my $.02
