What is the max size External SD card that can be used with New 3DS?

32GB is the highest "supported". I currently have a 128GB SanDisk in mine and it functions completely fine. So it's up to you, but do your research, plenty of people have gotten 128gb sd cards to work.

Yes, the stylus or pen is located at the bottom. Simpler to pull out compared to the regular 3DS which is situated at the back.
